Siakam's name is starting to pop up on rumors. Seems like the Nets will be aggressive to try to replace kyrie with either OG or Siakam among others.
Im still hoping the knicks can land either players, i think im more comfortable with OG who is younger and would likely demand less offensive touches than Siakam. If they can get OG by the deadline im good with than then evaluate the team and make another big trade in the offseason if a superstar becomes available hopefully be closer to being contenders by then

GMs are asking for whatever they want as some other GM might just be dumb enough. That Rudy Gobert trade set a stupid precedent. There is a dope out there just have to give them a chance to overpay.
Cam Reddish is what a left handed starting pitcher with a good fastball and a second pitch used to be in the MLB, a risk worth taking. Cam has all the gifts and tools, can someone fix his head ??? Reddish is also that feared " Wasted talent " but in all he has made more money already then most of us will ever make and he has the rest of his life to make some more and thrive even if he works part time at a 7 eleven for the rest of his life so I am not worried about him. If he is out of the NBA in the next two seasons he can play in China, Europe, as and Israel for a few months more years. Then become a HS coach and have a great life.

I'd gladly trade Dallas Was and Det picks Hart Rose and Cam for Rudy.

He's a typical role playing NBA JAG.
He's only a Career 6.1 Points Per Game alongside of only 2.8 Assists, 2.6 Rebounds and only 1.2 steals per game @ only .427% from the field and less than one 3 made per game with a career 21 minutes per?
No.
Just no.
And he's also already turning 29 years old too?
No thank you.
I wouldn't give away not even 1 1st round pick for this below mediocre jag let alone multiple 1st round picks. I wouldn't even waste multiple 2nd round picks on this undrafted no namer.
Im fine with doing nothing as well.

this is me. Cam need to go. He will be gone for 2nd rounders or some shit.
After that I am fine if we do nothing.
I suspect Obi finds a new home but I am not giving him away. I am fine with playing out the season seeing where I stand with all the young guys

Yup. Keep Fournier and Obi unless there is a good return which seems unlikely. If nothing else they are our back up depth which is vitally important.

Yeah that’s an outrageous ask.

So why aren't the Knicks asking 3 FRPs for Cam?

cuz rose needs to be fired that's why

Now that's analysis!
Methinks, yet another mid-season nothing burger.
Wouldn't mind a Cam/Obi for Thadeus Young and Precious Achiuwa.
The knicks have been reported to have walked away from the OG trade talks, maybe the price is too steep. He is the only player that i think is worth looking at as pary of the starting 5, maybe upgrading the starting 5 will be better in the offseason.
Im expecting just minor moved to unload Cam, DRose and if the FO is fortunate Fournier by the trade deadline.
I hope they still hold on to Obi even with the main purpose including him in a bigger package for a star. Giving him up with a 1st round pick for Vanderbilt seems like a low blow. Gary Trent jr could be a good addition but might not be a good fit since he already showed displeasure with his role on the team, this might turn into a Cam 2.0 situation if they get him.

Will miss Rose but he deserves this if it can happen
There’s a serious Obi Toppin dilemma coming along. Knicks clearly aren’t able to make use of his game and he’s not improving enough to find other ways to contribute. He doesn’t have value to get back a first round pick. At this point the Knicks may need to deal him for a different player who can replace him in the rotation. Someone who needs a change a scenery like Toppin.

He needs to get stronger in the off-season and find a pair or else he’s going to be on dancing with the stars wondering what could have been. He’s no kid anymore

Would Amare's game have gone anywhere. If he spent most of his time in the corner, waiting for a 3? Doubt it.
Its the same with Grimes, Obi's handle isnt good enough to consistently dribble through traffic, and score from there. They work best from the top of the key, and out. Obi needs a runway.
Only reason I wouldnt be upset at getting some value for Obi. Doesnt look like he's going to be put in the best position to succeed in NY.
As I said in the game thread, I wouldnt mind seeing a Brunson/Fultz backcourt. Offer Quickley, if starting isnt in Thibs or the FO's plans. He'll start somewhere eventually.
