There’s several posters like Briggs who does this all the time, and thankfully he still keeps it moving. Because I enjoy Briggs in the moment thinking. Write or wrong it’s his honest feedback in the moment. Knee jerk reaction? Sure. But it encourages discussion and doesn’t kill it.

Sorry but it’s a waste of energy to me, and potentially creates unnecessary dialogue. For example:

Hart is definitely the glue guy we needed. And I’m not worried about deuce being buried. I’m more excited for deuce to have a mentor he can learn from. It’s a fine balance between developing and winning. And the hart is that perfectly balanced move without disrupting the chemistry. Excellent job by the FO with this move.

At least deuce got his chance and fans got to see how he looks against other nba players. That’s all deuce fans was asking for. Shout out to thibs for having a set of players he like and sticking with them. U can tell he loved hart from day 1. Perfect glue guy.

I don't see it that way. Your on a fan site, basically an opinion board. If everyone is posting stuff that is forgotten the moment after it's posted, what's the point? It's all a bunch of noise. Especially in the case of posting something negative. The dialogue is this: 'i come to this site because i love the Knicks enough to read other people's opinions about them, HOWEVER i have this negative feeling about this aspect of the team (in this case Sergio didn't like the trade). " Any such person should be THRILLED to have been wrong about it and the important thing (the Knicks got better!) should be more important to him than his ego and he should say, "no worries! I am SO happy my worry was for nothing. I eat crow willingly!"

For a different type of poster that actually doesn't love the Knicks and comes to pay negative stuff just to get under the skin of Knicks fans, well that poster can just fuck off.

If it’s not 7-0 then josh hart acquisition is shining a bright light on the savyness of this FO. They are truly playing chess. On top of that, we have a chance to get Dallas and Washington pick? Executive of the year Leon Rose. Josh hart has been one of the best acquisitions in the nba this season and possibly in nba history 2nd to our own Dave DeBusschere.

NY JHarts 7 - 0….love it. Whatever we gave up for this guy we could have given up more and I’d be fine. Hart is a quintessential Knick. And whether by design or dumb luck or both has been the catalyst for the best Knicks run in ten years.

It Think Cazzie for Lucas was great because Jerry was key in our 1973 team as reed was having bad knee issues most of the season.
Stallworth and Riordan for Earl?
Starks and whats his name for Spree?
Cartright for Oak was a better fit with ewing.

Now, if we get to finals i’ll put him up there with a trade that completed us and defined an era!

I may have said it wrong, but they (clyde) was talking about this last night. And depending on the category, and how you phrase the question, Josh Hart was second behind Debusschere. Regardless where he ranks (I'm not too hung up on that), it appears this was a perfect fit. Add in the J. Brunson contract and Leon Rose is sitting pretty right now. You mentioned some names that go way way back. Thats solid Knick history right there. I was born but too young to remember anything. I'm a starks fan, but do not remember that trade for spree. Will have to do a little google searching after this chat.

He's the perfect Thibs role player. Spot starter. 28mpg core guy with good scoring chops, awesome open court player and full speed on both ends. High IQ. Willing passer. We like Reggie. He's Reggie on roids. He reminds me a lot of Doug Christie.

Just an awesome player to have in your rotation. Especially when you don't ask too much. This is the perfect spot. Complimentary scorer. 2ndary defender. He's starter quality and a nightmare off the bench for other teams

he's moved around cause he got trades for really good players. There's no way we dont resign him (unless he opts in for some reason. Maybe he does AND we extend him so he's got 5 years).

Christie was a defensive stud first, but eventually really became a reliable scorer. He was in the Camby deal (I think) and really had some good season on Tor and prolly got more attention as a member of the cowbell CWebb Kings. At 27 Josh Hart feels like that guy. He only "averages" 12ppg which doesnt look impressive but its really like 5 points one night and 20 the next in a "whatever the team needs" fashion

Grime's game is almost a Stark's replica. Quick release no hesitation on the 3, or a quick first step to the basket where he put it in or handed it off to Pat for a dunk. I swear Starks got 4 assists a game on that play. Every time help came Starks found Ewing. Grimes does that with bigs as well. Its a thing of beauty and his teammates are trusting him more and more.

Have to disagree about Christie. It was his defense that got him off the roster. Thats when JVG gave him that advice to focus on D. Christie could get buckets, but he wasnt up to JVG's standards defensively.

I see some of Starks in Grimes game as well. Starks was allowed to bring up the ball and set up the offense. Sometimes drive. Would like to see Grimes get that opportunity as well. Starks had some great takes from the top of the key.

If it’s not 7-0 then josh hart acquisition is shining a bright light on the savyness of this FO. They are truly playing chess. On top of that, we have a chance to get Dallas and Washington pick? Executive of the year Leon Rose. Josh hart has been one of the best acquisitions in the nba this season and possibly in nba history 2nd to our own Dave DeBusschere.

We got a 25mpg+ rotation player that filled a defensive and playmaking gap (he's better at a lot of things that RJ/Grimes aren't known for) and lost nothing "today". I was skeptical because of his size but he plays bigger than he is - and in this fast moving NBA, quickness and toughness are perhaps more important than height. (in a slower grind-it out NBA, height was more valuable than it is now)

I was thinking about what our record might be w/o this trade.
If all else happened in the world and we hadn't made the trade, 7-0 was still at least a remote possibility; 4-3 would have been a safe bet.

Nets: win (Nets in disarray with trades)
Hawks: coin-flip (we've owned the Hawks; last game for McMillan?)
Wizards: coin-flip/loss (KP, Kuzma, and Beal all suited up and played pretty well; but Mitch was back)
Pelicans: win (Pelicans just got news of a Zion setback)
Celtics: coin-flip/loss (Brown missed the game, but Smart, White, and RW3 all played)
Nets: win (Nets still in disarray with trades)

Reapeat: At times.

Hart comes from a two time champ program at a good school. 4 year player who graduated from a good school.

Starks went to 4 colleges in 4 years. He could play. Undrafted played 36 games for GSW at age 23. Next year he played in the CBA.
Bagged Groceries, introduced Crack Cocaine to Tulsa selling it. Rough start.
He was erratic on and off the court. Not all was smooth.
He could ball. He was raw and emotional. In the end he did good in his own way.
But lets not compare Starks to JHart. Different on and off the court. Jhart is more iggy, GOod head on his shoulders, good glue guy that gets what needs to be done.
Lets hope he can help us get a ring.
