Loved that RJ didn't let his poor shooting derail the rest of his game...he was aggressive on both ends. Everyone contributed, even Obi. And it's clear we have a balanced, deep team getting pumped for the post-season. It's a good year to be a NYK fan.

I’d like to see Mitch ease back in a bit when he comes back but Jhart gives knicks a good rotation. Thibs can always go with a hot hand down the stretch with IQ, Grimes, RJ, and Jhart. He needs some practice time with team. Be curious how Thibs handles the rotation the rest of the way.

I think if McMillsn had his way he’d trade him and run w D.Murray who at least plays some form of defense.

Wish the KNicks had picked A. Griffin.

In a way Trae reminds me of Westbrook. The way he can fill a stat sheet, but it feels like empty calories.

Agree about Mitch. Sims and Hartenstein are demonstrating that there isnt a rush. We need Mitch at 100 percent(ish) for the playoffs.

Great game and great win! That's how you take care of business right before the break! Major kudos to Thibs! He had those guys ready to play from the jump! Season high 6 games over .500 in prime position to go after that 5th seed!

Brunson and Randle did their thing as always. Randle came out super aggressive and led the way to that big lead in the first half. Seeing him put back those offensive rebounds is fun. He wasn't doing that last season! Well deserved second All-Star berth. Randle earned it and deserves it! And it's a damn shame Brunson was snubbed. Not being a homer when I say I think he is the best player I've seen who did not make an All-Star team. But I fully expect him to make multiple All-Star teams moving forward. Brunson is one of the best PG's in the league. And he showed it again last night. Every time Atlanta threaten to cut it down under ten, Brunson would get an And1 or hit a three. Like I've said, he is our Jessica Alba in PG form lol.

This team elevates another notch if Hart continues to hit that three to along with his great defense. He pretty much shutdown Murray, who has killed us this season. Great to see Obi hit some threes too!

Mixed bag again from RJ. Can't hit open threes, get's cooked by EVERY player he's checking and just isn't playing with enough energy, motor and concentration. If there is one player who needs a break and get back in the lab, it's him. He really needs to wake up!

But I'm going to enjoy this break. I'm very happy and satisfied with what I've seen the last few games. And we should get Robinson back soon so that's going to add a big boost defensively and on the glass. If Brunson and Randle continue to play like this and we get this type of shooting from Hart and if RJ wakes up, we could give Philly and Cleveland a battle in the first round. Not saying we would win but it wouldn't be a short series.

Trae looked selfish with those 30’ bombs. If i were on the Hawks i would give him a massive wedgie

I was laughing and loving how Wally was just bashing and killing Trae!

I feel bad for Nate. That Hawks' roster doesn't seem like a Nate roster. Bey and Hunter yes, maybe Murray but the rest of the team seems better suited MDA or someone like that

Atlanta traded 3 first round picks for Murray and the team is worse some how.

What I love is just knowing how far our Knicks have came since losing to ATL 4-1 in the Playoffs.

NYK = 33-27.
ATL = 29-30.

And I used to fear their ATL duo of Trae Young and Clint Capela but not anymore. Because Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle's just a much more dominant duo than them.

The big story is Travis Schlenk basically leaving with reasoning there was much interference from owners sons who pushed for the Murray deal.
While that team has been knocking on the door of relevancy and doing well the next level is not easy to reach.
Not sure if Landry Fields who is the GM was party to the mutiny and pandered to the bosses where Schenk pushed back, but its obvious things are not clicking.
And Collins is forever on the trade block. Reported he is dealing with a hip injury currently.
Not sure that losing by 21 into the allstar break and now under .500 is healthy for coach Mac but he has I think two more years on his deal and he is losing his team.
He don't get along with Trae young. Last night they were a mess. Communication is not there.
There were rumors Mac was going to resign around the first of the year. Looks like a miserable gig. Pay the man and let him walk.

I'm sorry, what? How did I miss this?! Had no idea Landry had a front office gig. AGM, to GM, to President of Operations by age 34...look at that Stanford degree at work! Happy for him...speculative mutiny aside*.

i'm waiting for all the analysts who loved that move to own up, there's been no magic, or chemistry on offense for them. instead it looks like guys just taking turns with the ball

IIRC Schlenk was with GS, and it seems he was trying to construct Warriors-East -- lots of shooting, lots of offense.

Problem is they don't have anyone at Curry or Klay levels, though they have players who think they're at that level

they have the wrong coach for that team, and Nate doesn't deserve the headaches that come with (Ice) Trae. He was kindy of Icey last night 4-14

Trae chucking it from the logo early in the shot clock while down by 15 not once but twice made me giggle like a school girl.

imagine snagging a guy like murray on this team

I hope that's sarcasm. That would be 4 guys in the starting lineup that need the ball in their hands to be effective ( Brunson sinking those kick outs have been unfreakinbelivable but it's definitely not be his main role, even tho he can and is amazing at it) If it's not sarcasm, are you sure it's such a hot idea?

Murray hit the WALL 6 games ago, the Hawks been playing Murray above 36 minutes a game this season, when Murray NBA career average 28 minutes a game. Plus the last 5 games Murray average 3 or 4 assist.
Coach Thibs are doing the same thing to Brunson, who also has a NBa career of 27 minutes a game.
The Knicks had a 23 pt lead with 4 minutes remaining in the game, and Brunson was on the court those 4 minutes. It reminds me of how D.Rose had his last two injuries as a Bulls.

The Knicks WIN in Atlanta over the Hawks was beautiful, letting Trae & Murray combine for only 25 pts.
Randle scored 25 pts, and Brunson scored 28 points, but the game player was Hartenstein's performance and Hart & Quickley's closing giving the Knicks 44 pts off the bench.
I did not agree with taking Obi Toppin out the game 4 min into the 4th quarter having a 15 pt lead.
And Randle comes in to commit a quick turn over.
Great 21 pt win over the Hawks .. We owe the Hawks 3 more losses !!!

Honestly I like Murray and think he was a good player to acquire. The problem is Trae young.

100%. IMHO Trae is a lesser Allen Iverson. For both guys, you need the perfect team and style built around him to be successful.
