Knicks · Brunson-Quickley-Hart-Randle-Robinson is one of my favorite Knicks lineups of all time (page 2)

Hey man, the facts are what they are (until they're not). Why can't a fan have a little joy? At least for a change, there are things to be positive about this team even if RJ isn't the one bringing the joy? Why do we have to be married to him as fans?
Not sure I understand. Have a little joy = being incessantly and obsessively negative about one thing all the time?
You're the only one that mentioned RJ.

No it wasn’t. I’m pretty straight forward with my thought process and need zero help.
If you have any thoughts on this topic, feel free to put them out there.
Trying to be the hall monitor for supposed indirect back handed compliments doesn’t seem to be appropriate.

So let me get this straight, according to the thought police, not only are we not allowed to criticize RJ's game play, we're not allowed to compliment other players and exclude him.
Got it.

Odd since you didn’t ask a question
That response is because you seem ready to anoint this particular set of players the “greatest since..…” having only played roughly only 15-20 min together (at the time of this post)…..so, you overreaction and “homerism” over such a small sample size, is common among many Knick fans.
Dude you really misinterpret things. I hope you understand the difference between “favorite” and “best or greatest.” This is not me overreacting or anointing anything. Having a “favorite” lineup is zero homerism. If you’re going to make odd comments make sure you understand what the thread is actually about instead of creating your own context. Saying I enjoy something is very different from saying something is the greatest ever. I have zero predictions or expectations for the actual success and performance of this particular group. I’m simply saying they are the most enjoyable Knicks group I’ve watched. Read the original thread again and it will be very clear hopefully. So I hope you understand now why I said your comment is so strange.

You say hall monitor, I say a brief joke based on both past experience with online Knicks fans in general and you personally, most recently a conversation about the potential of RJ Barrett that concluded rather abruptly.
I don't think I'm wrong to say whether it be Randle, Thibs, RJ, Reddish, Frank, Melo or many more names I can rattle off the top of my head, fans have a way to becoming becoming fixated on specific pet topics, particularly negative ones.
And in the last 5 mins I've read (very) recent posts that are continuations of disputes in which posters neither you or questions one another's motives. I didn't (by example) realize this was frowned upon.
As to the topic at hand, I think the list of players who know and perform their role is larger than the few players named.

You are beating a dead horse that no one is interested in and has nothing to do with anything.
Know when things are played out and when your brief jokes have completely missed their mark and turned into something completely different.

As I've said before Martin, this is your house. You have every right to invite who you want inside and lock out who isn't welcome. Got no problem if you exercise that right.
Based on history both observed and I was a part of, you seem pretty forgiving of people's peculiarities, but I'm not owed equal time. I'll post what I'm included to. What happens after is your call and I'm cool with that.

Knix I feel your confusion and find chats to be so misleading, especially when someone is fixated on a personal topic. I’ve been on both sides of this confusion.
But I love the lineup. Not sure what my favorite lineup would be. But I’m loving this lineup. IQ in the lineup is like having 2 PGs to close the game. Hart is a Swiss Army knife and IQ with Hart is a nice combo on both ends.

Exactly. I don’t want anyone to confuse this topic. I am saying this is my favorite lineup in many years. I am making no proclamation of them being the best or any type of guarantee of success. I am also not dissing RJ or grimes in any way. Quickley has been my favorite Knick for 3 years and Hart is like the ultimate glue guy. So as far as my “favorite” Knicks lineup they are pinched out. But this thread is not some knee jerk reaction as having a lineup you enjoy watching doesn’t really require any particular criteria.

I remember that play because a few minutes earlier, iHartcaught a pretty nasty elbow on his chin and was called for a foul. That play by Barrett wasn't even close to a flagrant (i didn't understand the drama there) but that officiating crew set the standard that it should have been a foul on whoever Barrett's defender was. As far as I remember it was exactly the same type of shot.
