You really think he handled this whole thing poorly?

For me this was a tiny gaffe by a 24yo that was handled nicely.

I was honestly annoyed by it. We're winning and the last thing we need is unnecessary drama. If you cannot keep your emotions in check, you shouldn't be on social media. That goes for like everyone, not just sports. Hopefully it was a tiny gaffe and we can move on. But Rob should really just go into Thibs office and voice his frustrations like an adult. Going on social media is childish.

Thibs would tell him to either put some arc on his free throws and/or learn one post move. Social media, on the other hand, has other things to offer.

Feel like you are missing out on exactly what goes on with social media. I can get the pro sports athlete stuff but the bro made 2 one line statements and then took it down and made a pretty good follow up. And it wasn’t written by his agent.

Going on social media for that generation is a second nature thing, it’s in their lifeblood man. Ask any parent with teen kids.

He is 24 and barely had adults around him growing up.

Let’s cut the kid some slack.

He took 4 shots today made three of them. He took 3 shoots till the alley with 20 seconds left. He is hustling all over the place.

Great team win, but multiple teams we took bad shots when Mitch was down low for a bucket. Can’t tell someone to shut their mouth when they are hustling every night. Not that hard to get him 8-9 shot attempts a game.

I felt for him at the 1:32 left mark in today's game, open under the basket, then Jules throws the ball cross court and out of bounds.

Mitchell Robinson immediately apologized the following day (for the ways he said what he said).

But for some strange reason fans who are questioning the 24 year old for his venting frustrations aren't talking about how he vented due to going through personal/family problems.

No mention of it.

But who cares, right?

Anyway, regardless;

Mitchell Robinson was an absolute DEFENSIVE X-FACTOR today once up against an NBA BACK-2-BACK MVP Nikola Jokić and went after him on Defense from the 1st Q until the 4th Q and from start to finish too.

Maybe Mitch is tired of winning?

But Rob cannot score in the low post! He has zero moves. He's here to rebound, protect the paint and he'll score off alley-oops and set up dunks. We are simply not and cannot run plays for him! He's probably the worst scorer on the team. If he cannot recognize his skillset and lack thereof, he can ask for a trade in the offseason. But I doubt ANY team would use him any different.

Mitch is wide fucking open all the time.

Reward the big man?

Nope, shut your mouth, slow your role, we are winning, your job is to rebound…

He’s not asking to run the offense out of the post. Multiple times yesterday mitch was open on the baseline, for the lob and we take off balance three pointers or contested shots. You’re asking a guy to bust his ass constantly and not give him some scraps.

Grimes would benefit from screens for open three pointers, some one on one opportunities at the top of the key, Obi would benefit from an occasional back screen, a little more tempo, etc. just because we are winning doesn’t mean we can be more efficient.

Did we watch Julius again force the ball inside and throw the ball away when the game was on the line.

Is there a reason why Brunson isn’t taking the last shot at all times??

So if Mitch is frustrated because guys aren’t looking up and miss him for easy lob dunks it’s a problem. When he gets those dunks he plays harder the fans cheer harder and we are more efficient and a better team.
