If Looney isn’t under the weather, does JayMICHAEL play? It looks genius when it works out, which it did.

I actually think he would have. The point of this change was to take AD out of the game. AD can sag in the paint and be a disruption to everyone when he is playing off Draymond and Looney. Having AD play D outside of the paint opens everything up and gets AD more tired during the game due to him chasing someone who can shoot 3's. Now in addition to the paint being open he is missing more shots due to being tired.

It's all bs. We needed to have gone at Butler all game long. Hoping that one of those plays resulted in him damaging himself at least score some or maybe some kickouys. Instead we chose to play the game that Spoelstra gave us- making shots from the outside. That backfired spectacularly.

Your strategy is to go ISO at one of the best defenders in the league in the hopes he maybe hurts himself?

Did you see what he did to RJ on that exact type of play in the first quarter? RJ still has whiplash from seeing his shot come back at his face so fast

Yes, sir. Butler is hurt. We need to exploit. Who do we got? Fking everyone: Brunson, StarJ, IQ. They dare us to shoot from the outside? Ok, fine but let's do so off of drives. Play inside - out. Whosever man Butler is covering needs to drive and kick out to the 3

I felt this rant. This happens every game. Call flops and small fouls one way and let Randle and RJ get blasted and nothing because they don't flop.

Can't imagine the reaction if Dolan had been involved

Nalod @ 5/8/2023 10:15 AM

I looked at a different view and Isiba put his hand on his back and at that moment was moving into Jokic space. look at this quick feed and freeze at 8 seconds and you see it. I was able to roll my finger on the touch pad and really slow down the frames this. He was not even looking at who it was. The guy in blue was in his face also. TO me, jokic was focus on the ball and not the fans. Isihba should not be touching him or have anything to do with the ball. We also don't have any audio to what was being said by fans. Jokic did not swing or even try to hurt anyone. He cleared Ishiba off him.
We are not talking about a Draymond or a Brooks who is confrontational historically. Thus my take is there is no suspension.

If it was Dolan? I think Jimmy is smart enough to not go for the ball.

A slightly more advanced version of what Bam did to Brunson last game. The funny thing is PJ also tried to flop but Smart is just too advanced.

Last game of the season tonight boys. Counting down the days to week 1 NFL and hoping the jets aren’t stupid enough to have Aaron Rodgers play in preseason

One of the Knicks best players - as great as he can be especially during the regular season - is not a smart player and constantly shows that to us.

there's major truth to this. TV does replays and gives the analysts a chance to say it was a moving screen etc. It's not a good look for the NBA

It really does force the refs to blow the whistle or it will just have a bigger spotlight on that issue

I agree. But.......

how does this happen? How does the Heat defense shift?
Credit them. They are daring him to beat us. Since they historically great at taking away passing lanes {Honestly, not a strong skill by Randle) it makes it harder for him.
Yes, randle is coming up short. Its calculated.
They are harrassing Brunson in the back court. Enough to get him a little more tired.
What else? Grimes can blow buy his man but he shits his pants if he goes to the rim. Why? They got him. He young, and naturally hesitant.
What else? RJ? He won't beat you alone. Kid is doing his job. He is not Jimmy or StarJay yet.
JHart? Let him shoot. He not that good at it.
Miami is double dog daring us to execute our weakness. Its not hard. Since we are not that good/experienced/Clutch what ever, then its gonna work!

Taking a look at the 2022-2023 All-NBA Team results.
Starting next season, players will need to play a minimum of 65 regular season games (79%) to qualify for the teams.

Under this new rule, 5 of these players wouldn't qualify. That's a whole team worth.

The NBA has had a problem with load management in recent years which contributes to the low game counts from the stars.

Here's a run down of the 11 out of 15 all-NBA players that didn't reach 70 (85%) games played this season.
Lebron 55 (3rd)
Curry 56 (2nd)
Lillard 58 (3rd)
Giannis 63 (1st)
Butler 64 (2nd)
Doncic 66 (1st)
Embiid 66 (1st)
Jaylen Brown 67 (2nd)
SGA 68 (1st)
Mitchell 68 (2nd)
Jokic 69 (1st)

For reference:
Randle 77 (3rd)
RJ 73
Brunson 68
Haliburton 56
