Knicks · Beal now available? (page 4)

Jimbo5 @ 6/18/2023 7:20 PM
The Suns trying to win it all with offense, Durant, booker and now Beal. This team would need atleast 3 basketballs in the court. Im not really a fan of any of the rumored trade possibilities for the knicks. What if they just go after Dejunte Murray? A young big guard with both offense and defense.
BigDaddyG @ 6/18/2023 7:23 PM
And yeah, we're never gonna see that Wizards first rounder.
Alpha1971 @ 6/18/2023 7:25 PM
Does this Wizards-Suns lower the trade market ? DC got played

NTCs are a bitch. Wiz had their hands tied. At least they didn't give him to Miami.

Clean @ 6/18/2023 7:33 PM
No trade clauses are powerful. A few of us seen this coming when Beal signed the deal and it had a ntc. He gets his money and can pick where he wants. There is no out bidding or asset draining when you are the only option.
Clean @ 6/18/2023 7:35 PM

The Suns better hope they all stay healthy.

Pick may have value to DC if they can get it back from us to be able to trade their picks in a trade. Would you trade for Deni ?

I'd take Deni. But I don't think the Wiz have the incentive. I think they going dumpster diving the next few seasons. Too bad they didn't consider it when th best prospect to come over in a lontime was still in play.

At this point I would take the Wizard front office to be desperate and poorly run and offer then whatever, for who ever you want. You just might be able to get it at your price

Alpha1971 @ 6/18/2023 8:22 PM
I would be willing to also give them back their first rounder for 4 or 5 second rounders.

You gotta wonder how much this played into the Wizards decision to trade Beal.

It's really a head scratcher from the Wizards stand point. I think with Kuzma KP and Beal they had a chance to be decent. Maybe this is also a way to convince KP not to pick up that player option.

I don't think we will ever see a NTC again. Just a totally stupid move by Sheppard giving him that.

It will be interesting to see where the wizards go from here. Likely they plan on getting lots of cap space to become a clearing house for trades like OKC. Sad day for Washington fans.

KnickDanger @ 6/18/2023 9:43 PM
There are three more years for the Wiz pick to convey right? Then it becomes second rounders at least one of which would then be an early one. But of course I’d prefer a first around ten. Clearly they are tearing it down - an official tank.

Regardless, I completely prefer our future to that of the Suns. Though you know they will be media darlings to start the season.

It's really Walsh/ Thomas level GM like mess

Philc1 @ 6/18/2023 10:14 PM
KP must be acting even more superdouchey now if the Wizards are trading Beal just to try to get him to opt out

Hows that? He opts in at 36mm. They fulfil his contract.
They dump him, he goes and plays and gets to earn a new deal next year.
Why be a douch?
Because he was 4 years ago here? Every thing repeats itself?

YOu talkiing about DC or Suns?

Have to think Suns move Ayton for role players. They are not done.
Do I think they blow up? I don’t know the final pieces and what the plan is.
Long way to training camp.
They got Beal for basically CP3 contract.

KP must be evolving into an even bigger douche. Should we salary dump RJ to offer KP the supermax in 2024?

Are you 14 years old now? What kind of answer is that?
I dont’ want him back. Don’t fit.

A friend just linked two screen shots that Ishiba's net worth has almost doubled to 9 billion in the last 6 months and the guy won an NCAA championship in 2000 with MSU. He's got money to burn. I wouldn't be surprised to see Phoenix just be aggressive in resigning their players, luxury tax concerns be damned.
