Any conspiracies this year?
Some teams really moved up so league must have been up to something?

tend to like his mock drafts the best. I feel like they are generally most in line with the consensus out of the major mock draft outlets.

As things start to fall into place, the names in the Knicks range that make the most sense are Ingram, Kolek, Holmes and McCullar if the Knicks keep 1 or both first round picks. Kolek could be a true backup PG if they don’t believe in Jokubaitis coming over. Ingram is a 3&D combo forward who fits around a Brunson team. McCullar too. He’s a classic Jack of all trades wing. And Holmes is a big man with 2-way potential and some shooting potential.

In the second round range, Knicks may take more of a project or a CAA player who funnels his way to the Knicks for a long term minimum contract or a 2-way contract. CAA players in this range are Ryan Dunn on the higher side and Jamir Watkins or Antonio Reeves. Trading that pick is probably least likely simply because it doesn’t have a ton of value and there’s players who the Knicks can develop deep on the bench.

Amazing the rise of the French kids in this draft!
Add Wemby and the future of the French national team is looking good!
We long past Fred Weis now!
And Frank.

Rockets? Really!!!

I like McCullar as a "play now" rotation wing. Has aspects of Grimes and Hart with a bit more length. I think he fits very easily and we could use the depth when OG gets hurts. Bobi Klintman is "play" later pick. He looks like a stretch 4 with wingspan. He's the kind of player we lack. Maybe gonna take a year or two to develop, but I'm hoping for a Jaden McDaniels type.

Man I still love the idea of Ryan Dunn for the Knicks at #25.

Total raw project. Elite athleticism. Elite motor. Defensive guy.

Can't shoot.

Zero clue on his basketball iq.

draft 2 guys and bring Rokas over and run it back with a full season of Randle, OG, Mitch and Bogs. Even 50 games of those guys together would be huge.

This the draft we move up? Usually we move back. This draft has labels as being weak but that because there lacks a clear leader in the top 5. Thus there is opportunity.
Who? I don't know and can't speak for any team or knicks. Perhaps we trade both picks? If there is a high conviction for a few players then perhaps you move up.

McCullar is a good option. I think the concern with him is medical. Klintman seems like a good option too as a bigger forward. Another guy I didn’t mention but really like is Alex Karaban. He was part of that UConn repeat team. He’s a bigger wing and can shoot. Seems to be fair enough defensively too. Seems like an off-ball player who would make sense. He’s maybe a bit of a tweener but we could use the forward depth for sure.

Moving up is all about who is willing to move back. Very rarely is there a team that is.

I’m intrigued by him too. I wonder if 25 is too early though and he’s more of a 38 guy. But he’s a good gamble for sure.

Very true. This is a very different draft. One may see it as week, or deep with a lot of unknowns? Perhaps at team might want two picks than one? It would be a better convo by me to mention such a team but that that would be a lot of brain power. A team perhaps might want to trade and take a stab at two players it might have "conviction" of in lower part. Similarly knicks perhaps see a player, say at the 5 with detroit (just an example) who they really like.
Say Detroit will be moving bits and pieces around and has other deals in place. Obviously they suck and more yoot won't help. Imagination runs wild here.

All this just a spitball concept. Yes, teams rarely do this but this draft is might be one you do it.

He has really good timing to go with great biometrics. To have that kind of timing, he has to have strong basketball iq. He also seems to have the quick twitch bounce. Meaning he can start his jump after the shooter and still get up over them. Mitch used to have that before they bulked him up to 245.

I kind of like Yves Missi and not sure if we need two more projects. I also like Tidjuane Salum.

Before the combine, this would make me very happy.

24 Missi
25 Salaun
38 Dunn

Might be a nice draft and stash option. Give some time between draft picks and lessen the roster spot burden. I'm pretty sure these picks are going to be consolidated for later picks down the line tho.

I've watched a drunk Fish and Panos run faster than this. And no, that is not a compliment for any of the parties involved.
BigDaddyG @ 5/13/2024 8:20 PM
Have no idea what position lil dude will play, but one thing is for certain. He can get up!
BigDaddyG @ 5/13/2024 8:24 PM
Stretch Edey?!?!?😱 Gonna have to reevaluate some past statements

The Wasserman mock has Devin Carter going 18.

Son of former Knick Anthony Carter is a combo PG/SG ~6'3" that avg. nearly 8 rebounds a game and is tenacious defender.

Small trade up from 24/25 and bring in Josh/Deuce 2.0 and add to the culture.
