Would assume Thibs would love his rebounding #s, defensive chops and probably knows his father well.

He's gone up into the low lottery. Kinda reminds me of how Donovan Mitchell's draft went with how he stayed out of the top 10 because of a perceived low ceiling.

Carter is awesome. We talked about him very early on but then he rose up and now I’d be shocked if he made it out of the lottery. The Mitchell similarities as far as their scenario is spot on.

I don't know how good he is but if he can hit an open shot he will contribute to us winning right away. We need a zone buster.

Man this guy seems like a perfect for for what the Knicks could use. But he is lottery material

Yeah, Devin Carter looks like a legit threat to be a Donovan Mitchell-esque mod-lottery superstar. He’s checking all boxes. I’d give all three picks for him. See what OKC wants for the 12.

All the guys I liked early are moving up the board. Maybe something will slip. Salaun is a top 10 pick now? Missi late teens? Knicks might be right to trade out of this one. Maybe grab a euro-stash at 38. Maybe use one pick on Ryan Dunn.

I know he's young and French, but I would still draft and stash this kid. Perhaps even give a year in Westchester.

Man feel bad for the kid

He actually seems like the kind of player that would benefit more with NBA coaches and training camps. I don't think I would want to stash him. At 38, let Johnnie Bryant have him and get his footspeed up.

I wouldn't mind having him on the big roster. But I don't see Thibs playing him year 1 and the does need reps to polish up. G-League might be the best route.

At some point they do need real prospects at the back end of the roster. You can’t keep filling it with guys like Jeffries and Charlie Brown. Need real nba talent even if some of it never develops.

No "O" G worked out for the Knicks.

His name keeps popping up. I was wondering if the Knicks were going to bring him in for a workout. Is there a list anywhere of players we’ve worked out?

I think he needs to see how Julius Randle works out. After that, he can get his reps in wherever.

I’m pretty high on Dunn and would reach for him with 25, even though I hope he would fall to 38.

Missi, Dunn and Djursic or Dadiet would be a solid haul of upside players at the back of the bench. If Isaac Jones goes undrafted, I’d have that kid on speed dial. If Theo Pinson and Jerome “JYD” Williams had a love child, I think Isaac Jones is their boy.

Is Zach Edey literally just Yao Ming and now 20+ years later, he is mid teens to 20s pick instead of consensus no.1?

Edey potential to gain the handle, footwork, and face foward midrange that Yao had is what one has to see to say that. I don’t know. Yao Mings career was a lot shorter than most recall. He only played 4 full 82,82,80,77. There were 3 years 48, 55,57 games. He played 7 seasons. Ages 22-28. Had to sit a full year, then played just 5 the next and was done by age 30. Total career 486 games. All star every year.

Edy obvious size was his biggest weapon in college. To compare he is only 2 inches shorter but he has a way to regarding the overall skill set Yao demonstrated in his career. Im not saying he can or can’t. If scouts think he has this potential you for sure draft him and develop if he fell to us. Given its unlikely we bring back both our centers for monetary reasons this could be one avenue was take. If he is a higher pick,, maybe we do something to move up. How far? I can’t say.

If he was drafted with the purpose of being a 20min per game backup big. Would that be the most effective route for him extending his career?

You talking about extending Mitch or Edey's career?
there are some things about Ming that one needs to understand, he was a child born in 1980 to parents that both played pro basketball. Father was 6'7 and Mother 6'3. Ming is 7'6. I have seen him play in person vs shaq whose girth/head/size makes most men look tiny. It was not Shaq's height, his sheer volume was incredible later in his career. Ming was huge next to shaq.

There is a rumor that his parents were an arranged marriage by the state and he was given growth hormones to boster his size. Just a rumor I read. Nothing was concrete.
Given his birth in 1980 and they did weird shit behind the Communist curtain then its not outrageous China did this kind of thing. Again, Im only going by a theory. Some of which was based on his proportions and his head was huge even for a man of that size!

Obviously he was not the only tall player to suffer from foot injuries so thats not the tell all. Bill Walton's body at seven feet could not handle it as he filled out.
Many others also. Perhaps this is Mitch as well.

If we talking Edey, one might hope his body type which is thick at an early age is "designed" to handle what he intends to do to it in the coming years. Edey is a big dude who has had to slim down. Most players are rail thin and issue with feet can occur when they bulk up and hit that "man strength!".
