I did not know this was a thing. This opens up more trade possibilities.

Yes but it can only be the full MLE. Can’t be the taxpayer exception like the Knicks have. That isn’t eligible for trade.

FIBA does some things right.

Yikes, speedy recovery

He already looked slow as hell last season. The Bucks are lucky they got gary Trent Jr.

Clean @ 7/17/2024 8:04 PM

Yet we continued to go over screens on him. It was obvious he wants to drive and we kept playing him for the shot. He can shoot but his release is so slow as long as you don't give him enough time to shoot without having to worry about a defender you are good. We could have beat the Pacers even with the injuries if we slowed him down by doing obvious stuff.

Kills me that NBA rewards turds like Embid (particularly Embid)

Ugh - don’t get me thinking (bitching) about us going over screens on TJ again.

That TJ matchup seriously made me doubt Deuce defense for 1st time.

Gee willikers, I didn’t even recognize Embiid without the stomping afterwards.

Same for me. It seems like his idea of being a good defender is always playng close up. That is good for some and bad for others. Look at the scouting report and change the way you defend to fit the player.

We definitely have the pieces to swing a trade for a solid young Center like Duren or Kessler. We have a glut at reserve PG now with 3 guys who should carry value, and a trove of 2nds to offer. Trade Rokas or Kolek or Deuce with some picks and go get a young C.

I disagree. The only real draft assets the Knicks have at this time are two protected picks. I think those teams are looking for real draft assets.

Man how is this possible?

Welcome to the world where you esentually have a hardcap and stars are what means most to winning. 2/3 stars making near max money and your teams capspace is done. Team parity is great but at what cost. Middle class NBA players have been pushed down to vet min players. The full mid level exception being able to be used as a trade exception was the final nail in the middle class coffin.

I would've preferred Tyus Johnson or Spencer Dineiddie as backup PGs over Terry Jones if I knew they would still be available.

They are but they also are not available to us. This is like Gary Trent Jr. They are not going to a team where they are not going to get a lot of playing time. How are you going to impress teams for the next offseason sitting on the bench? We have no room for guards that expcct to play regular minutes.
