I love it for the Knicks. Definitely in the Gabe Vincent, Max Strus mode of player. Shooter, defender.
Can start in a pinch at SG in case of injury.
Coming out of winning environments from Villanova, Milwaukee, GS.
Donte and a lot of other good stuff in here. 5:40 for the Donte takes. Isola had a good point IMHO: Donte was better than Poole for GS last year.
love him but we are loaded at that spot. We just have too many guys.
Brunson/McBride
Grimes/IQ
RJ/Hart
we basically have 6 guards we play at PG/SG/SF. McBride/Grimes/RJ/IQ are all 23 next year (IQ is 24).
I like Donte a ton and if we lost our depth in a trade for a main character DD would be one of the first guys I look to bring in to beef things up. As of now I dont see where he plays or who he plays over.

I like it, but would want to see them consolidate some wing players before adding another PG/SG. I like reuniting him with Brunson and Hart. Maybe start looking for Bridges...

True. I'm assuming if DDV signs there will be more moves that would make the rotation more sense
Unless we don’t sign hart
Right now we have
Barrett hart grimes iq Brunson why spend 3-4 years 11-12 mm on dd if we sign hart?

No rumor makes sense about anyone unless we begin to understand that trades outs might be an option.
Donte is better than Grimes at the moment. Im not saying get rid of him, but if you bring him in he gets an opportunity to start? Let Grimes continue his development and come off the bench. Donte will not play 82 games.
IQ, same thing. He has a great role off the bench but he wants more and should want/deserve it.
We trading either RJ or Randle? Have to admit watching Randle interview with PG13 he really is very likable. I know its about on the court but I like the guy and he been here a while doing well. RJ? Same thing.
If we talking about adding, we have to subtract. WE talked about KP and I have no idea where and how he'd fit in to our plan.
Lavine? Ok, we send one of Grimes or IQ, two picks and EF. Not enough? Fuck it, move on. Leon is is not easy. Take on big money in this environment is a dump.
Read Clipper and Portland discussed Paul George for Scoot. Really? that was a thing or just part of a thing. PG is an expiring at age 33 whose best days are past and big injury issue. Media can do this all day long but I fail to see logic.
I miss the 2nd unit playing with pace and ball movement. RJ playing with the reserves is not my favorite rotation because the 2nd unit has struggled to score with the 9 man rotation. While DDV and IQ wouldn't have a lot of size, I think it would work. What do the numbers look like? You can't have too many high IQ effort players. What do the numbers look like?

I just dont buy the notion that not upgrading the roster and running it back is some kind of set back. At this point I dont really think Mitch is going to show up with some wild new skill set, but he does do things better year after year. It just feels like we have a reasonably priced core of young guys worth growing together.
I am all for a good trade. Zero interest in packaging our guys for an injury prone $40mm a year guy who's likely an upgrade but robs us of all our depth and youth and ensures a 2-3 year window.
As far as I see it we have Brunson who's a top self closer at 26. That's the guy. Randle's is our Chris Webber for 70c on the dollar. Hart's a great role player but the meat of this roster is super young and deserves some time to grow.
Just too redundant
He’s not really better than anyone we have, the new EF
Mle better than Sign and trade

Like Donte. Think he is in the Josh Hart mold.
Hi deflection rate, high 3par. Aggressive on both defense and offense
Think he can be a high energy player like Hart but with a much better 3pt shot.
He is not afraid to shoot the ball up. Would add him if we get of borderline bench guys like Deuce.
Think he will be a break out player given the opportunity.
If you get Dante he is a lower cost replacement for IQ who next season you extend and use in a trade next year IQ for OG.
I like him, but I agree with fish, there just isn’t any room for him as the roster is currently constructed
DiVincenzo would be great. I would move Obi and replace him with DiVincenzo in the rotation. Barrett/ Hart as backup 4. Not sure if he comes here without more minutes freeing up in the rotation though.
IQ and Evan for OG works right now
Toronto needs a pg. Young pg for a wing, not really going to include many picks, maybe a few picks. Brunson, Grimes, OG, Julius, Mitch. Bench Dante, Hart, RJ, Heart, Situational bench Obi, Sims, and Deuce.

But is Dante and OG better then having IQ ? I have no idea but if the team signs Dante IQ or Grimes is being traded
