This is directly relevant to our draft pick.

? The Dallas pick?

note - the spurs would only accept an "unprotected" pick from Dallas seeing how Dallas did us dirty in the KP trade by tanking to keep their pick
Chandler @ 7/6/2023 12:11 PM
we should sticky a thread with the declared "winners" of the off-season and then revisit that at the end of the season

Just. Say. No.

I like my players to suit up for the playoffs.

Man, it takes 2 second round picks to move an incredibly good shooter who has 1 year left on his deal.
martin @ 7/6/2023 2:17 PM
Is it just me or do these new round of Knicks trade rumors sound more like legit interest from NY instead of just being included for clicks? Not all of them but the general feel.

Right or wrong, my opinion of Lillard has changed for the worse. He stuck with Portland through more than enough that I have no issue with him requesting a trade. BUT to insist on it being to the Heat, a team that can't really provide comparable value to the Blazers is kind of messed up. I guess Beal set the tone with the trade to Phoenix for very little. Lil took the money with his supermax extension and should play for his dollars somewhere else. Blazers shouldn't have to take back shitty contracts to appease Lill.

2 seconds seems to be the going rate. That Duarte trade is live.

Right, with the caveat that the Nets had to give up the picks to move a very good shooter on a decent sized expiring contract

martin @ 7/6/2023 5:13 PM
2 years, nice

martin @ 7/6/2023 5:14 PM
OK

Is this the annual signing of everybody and his brother, only to be waived a couple days later?

Just saw Duarte is 26! About a year older than Obi and three years older than you know who. For whatever that’s worth.

get it done. I dont care if he's not gonna start. He's the backup PG, 2 way guy who fits in every 3 guard line up you throw out there. Finisher. Ascending player. Bobby JAckson/Jamal Crawford with defense. Having Iggy was kinda useful for GS...

reasonable value. better at 16 mil, but it is what it is. 20 mil / year is a team's 4th best player, which I'm not sure Quick is here - yet.
martin @ 7/6/2023 6:38 PM
$30M per, reasonable compared to some other contracts
