Why would the Knicks want another PF who can’t play SF or center ?
Incase of injury. But whatever. We have Evans contract, a TPE, picks and Deuce to trade for an improvement at the 4 and 3. Maybe they believe in Roby for real.
We also have Divincenzo now. He’s the greatest signing in the history of free agency so who needs size?
I hate your posts because I read every post as though they are written with an intent to respond meaningfully. But by the time I finish reading your posts, I always have the sinking feeling that I wasted my time and “Phil got me again” with a BS post. I honestly hate reading your posts. Good threads die on your meaningless posts.
Hate is a strong and wasted emotion for a forum based on entertainment.
Hopefully it is more based off of something interesting and not some low IQ forum baiting, we need less of that quite frankily

Knicks need both. And I'm guessing they aren't nearly done yet.
Dallas had to give up assets to sign their guy (and get some picks back), Knicks did not, so I am not sure it's in the same cost space? Hard to tell what the second round picks are but they also gave up an unprotected first round swap in 2030. That'll be on the next GM but could be UGLY.
Knicks didn't need a four year commitment for Williams with so many future picks. Dallas had to commit to four years. Dallas has done well but this is their team for the next 3 years. Wonder if it will work around Luka and Kyrie. But their pick should convey.

To trade an unprotected pick swap 7 years from now for an average backup is one of the dumbest trades in NBA history.

The new Dallas roster are the pieces easily moveable for future moves, I'm not sure. They did improve but yeah they are going as in as they can right now. Will they be good enough to keep Luka committed long term ?

I recently discovered you can actually put posters you don't like reading on ignore. Just go to your profile and enter the username on 'ignored users'.
Evan Fournier's contract expiring should be valuable to get a rotation player who plays the 3/4 or 4/5. Team likely will be patient for a contract for a player who may have one more season then our SG. His value might be at its highest around the deadline. If we keep him on the roster to start the season, how do we keep him engaged ?

In fairness, I think I put a lot of time and consideration to my posts. Consider it duly noted how you feel about people calling Phil out on his shitty posts.
Would anyone like Poku as a back up 4 ? Maybe OKC has no plans to extend him.

Who do you think the Knicks should get as a back up 4 ?

A guy that I am keeping my eye on is Justise Winslow. To be clear, he has disappointed and struggled to stay healthy. He's kind of like a past his prime star that forgot to have a prime. I don't mean that as harsh as it sounds, but he is the kind of guy that plays with some skill and every once in a while puts out a performance that makes you think he might be back. He passes well and shoots terribly. Plays good defense. Coming off surgery. I don't know. I want him to be good. I'd give a vet min here.
Another odd one is Jonathan Isaac. Been constantly injured to the point where I just feel bad for him. Not sure what his health update is, but if you are swapping Fournier's contract for Isaacs, at least if Isaac comes back healthy its to a position of need. Basically swap a SG placeholder for a PF placeholder assuming we can't do anything else with EF's contract.
I think there will be a lot of marginal PFs that are looking for min contracts that can eat up 10 to 15 minutes. Blake Griffin, JaMychal Green, etc..
Taj would be another good bench guy. Never really wanted him to leave.
PhilC has a manner about him.
Ja Green would be fine ona minimum. We hold onto Evan until a deal comes along. Evan won't get any burn at all so if he remains, he will have to be very professional.
My biggest criticism for the Knicks front office is not having enough young talent in the pipeline outside of the regular rotation guys. They have done great finding IQ, Grimes, McBride, and Sims, yet the last 2 drafts the Knicks have not been involved in the later stages of the draft. Opportunities to get good prospects on 4-year deals keeps the pipeline filled and we wouldn’t be asking this question about a Toppin replacement. Knicks saw the writing on the wall here and should have spent some cash to add a second round player who can play 3/4 or 4/5 in the last 2 years. They know what they want from that backup spot. The summer league team might be the least noticeable in terms of brand names we have ever seen. Knicks have the picks and the cash. We need another draft like the grimes, McBride, sims draft that replenishes the pipeline.
Monica Mcnutt has some great legs and a lovely silhouette when doing the Wally Wall.
This rim rockin’ ankle devastator has no clue why this thread was created…
Whatever happened to Eric Paschall? He was really good as a rookie! And he's only 26!

Yeah he’s Villanova and CAA so why not ? He was on a 2-way contract with Minnesota last year. Not sure what happened to him and why he’s not in the league.
