more than i'd like but overall with him opting in as a favor to us, it's 5/94m total which isn't too bad.

Phew - easy to forget but that was a HUGE shot in that series.
This is a contract that is not measured by stats alone. Glue guy, over all culture guy.
The money is nutty these days. Happy for the guy.
To have a guy locked up for 5 years and for him to not worry about anything but what the team asks for. For a "dog" this is a great day for this type of player.
Be interesting if he is here for the duration of his deal. He can be a finishing piece for a contender. Lets hope its for us!!!
As for Mikal Bridges? Great guy. No doubt would be a great addition. But we good. They can can all have time babysitting Josh's twins when in town.
He has worked hard to have his "own team". Nalod would love standing rivalry were both teams succeed and play meaningful games. Subway conf finals would be awesome!!!!
Wonder if plan all along has been for Josh to handle the back-up 4 and suck up all those Obi minutes along with most of his normal mins.
If you think about it outside of maybe size/shot-blocking most any guy we could grab at this point Hart would be better all around fit and team fit —- might even have career year getting those extra mins at the 4.

Knicks doing small ball but at the 4 instead of 5 spot for bench rotation.

A lot of guys claim to be a “dog” but I feel like Josh is really only one of a few who really get to that level

about 18.8mil avg. About right.
Only questions are RJ at the 2 or 3 long term, is OG on the market where he is included in a deal, or centric on IQ with a pick(s).
That and can we truly contend with Mitch in crunch time with little offensive game, including FT's.
I like Josh at the 2 with IQ in the back court on second unit.
Crunch time:
Brunson
RJ
JHart
Randle
Mitch/IHart
"role player" is really unfair. He literally does everything you need on the court. Scoring, rebounding, defending, handling the ball, hitting a big shot, making a big pass and of course being an absolute menace in the open court. He's just a guy who makes every line up he's in better for one reason or another. Wild he might not even be a starter (ever) but it doesnt matter. He's a 30 minute a night guy, spot starter anytime you need... and of course a great soldier and leader by example. Great job locking him up in the prime of his career.
Good deal. What separates Hart from some other glue guys is his attitude. I believe that Hart's intensity also played a role the win streak. That we watched from his first game as a Knick. Hart helps keep the team fired up, along with the production.
Starks used to have the same effect, when he was a 6th man.
