Much is being written by the bloggers to fill up summer space. NY post has a article about how Harden could force Philly into a rebuild.
"Troel Joel" Twitter removal of "Philadelphia" might be just a calculated move to gain more clicks, and exposure.
Price by one blogger to bring him is RJ, Mitch, and 4 first rounders. Can't recall if Fournier was needed for salary.
To me, and I repeating myself I use Jules and two less picks. Randle is an all nba player.
But, Jules next to Emiid is the better fit. I then use IQ as part of a trade for a 3.
Perhaps we start Josh at the 3.
Brunson
Grimes
Embiid
Randle
JoshHart
Is that a championship squad?
Two year window with those contracts.
I don't like giving out picks unless protected that goes out more than 3 years. Can't have picks owed beyond a competitive window.
Keeping RJ is also about having a young player hit his prime and be part of the next phase in a reboot. Not always necessary to hit rock bottom to do so.
Assumption is he has yet to hit his ceiling and we don't trade as many picks to Philly.
Embiid has played with a good supporting cast, and not gone that far in the post-season.
He’s obviously a great player but I’d hate to give up young promising talent and picks, in hopes that he stays healthy and somehow succeeds more in NY.
Philly, make us an offer we can’t refuse.

Well said. I am in this camp and i am an EMbiid fan.
I could make the case i'd rather lose Randle who is an all nba because i still think he has some challenges handling NY and the pressure in the playoffs.
I'm not sure Embiid is the right guy to swing for the fences as the cost maybe too much.
That said - if we do make a move for Embiid I don't think Randle is a good fit playing next to him. Embiid becomes the centerpoint of the offense the day he arrives. Brunsona and Embiid will leave scraps for Randle and don't think that will work for him.
Volatility-wise we don't have room for two guys that can be problematic IMO. Embiid complains and Randle has had his struggles...
I would try to use Randle in the trade instead as that would also cost us less picks.
Maybe both RJ and Randle go to revamp things around Embiid and Brunson?
Randle and Mitch + 2 first rounders for Embiid and filler (eg M.Harrell)
RJ, Fournier and 1 first and 2 future 2nds for Pascal Siakim and Otto Porter
Embiid (Hart, Sims)
Siakim (Harrell)
Hart (Porter, J.Toppin)
Grimes (DDV)
Brunson (Quickley, McBride)

In fairness, the Sixers and not Embiid have played in the post-season and not gone that far. He has tended to have injuries by post-season. So load management would be a real thing, here.

Interesting result. That could get it done.
Embiid is the reigning League MVP. Philly going to ask for a lot. If so, I pass. None of this makes sense unless we are a top 4 team in the league.
RJ is a much better fit next to Embiid than Randle IMO.
Embidd, RJ and Brunson gives you a nice trio at C/F/G
but I dont think PHI would want Randle so it's prob a moot point.
I think an Embiid trade would look something like RJ, Mitch, Grimes + 4-6 1sts.
Would leave us with
Embiid
Randle
Hart
IQ
Brunson
definitely a contending roster but I'm not 100% sold on Embiid given his size, age, and injuries. Would rather get DM.
That Embiid/Brunson combo is very very enticing!

Yep. Surround with 3 shooters and that PnR is deadly.

If JB and Mitch can get on the same page, we wouldnt have to invest so much in a Center. I'm confident that an effective Robinson/Brunson combo would play a big part in getting us to the conference finals.
We dont need an MVP at Center. We do need JB and Mitch to make a concerted effort to develop a two-man game. Hopefully someone on the coaching staff is encouraging it as well.
Hearing some very interesting takes.
- RJ and Randle traded? Mmmm.
- Siakam and Embiid? Nice
- JB and Embiid? 🤯😊
- JB, Siakam, Embiid? 😍😊

“Hearing?” You talking about legit sources or on blogs?
Or reading it on these pages?
I think he's referring to this thread.

I disagree with Randle being a better fit next to Joel. I think part of the issue with the Sixers team building strategy is that they kept trying to go big next to Joel. Joel is a great offensive player and a great defensive anchor. He is also slow as piss and very methodical. Instead of doubling down on size and strength, I think it would be smart to balance it with speed and shooting. I don't prefer a traditional 4 next to Joel. I think a guy like Barrett paired with another shooting wing would be great. Use Joel like Stan used Dwight when he surrounded him with Hedo and Rashrad Lewis. If you could somehow pair Barett with a guy in the Bridges, Keegan, Wiggens mold I think you'd be moving in the right direction. That said talent wins a lot of games. Joel and Julius are very talented.

Health is a huge issue for him. I also the Sixers have done a terrible job of team building. Could they have gone slower at the 4 than Al and PJ plus before Harden they never had one guard that could run PnR with Joel

I think your trade scenarios are very optimistic. I also think you build a great team here.

We shouldn't but we've seen the Knick offense collapse in the postseason twice now. Always having Mitch or a different 5 with limited range and on-ball skills seems to be something that can make our offense easily defended when a good team is prepared. Not a lot of traditional centers bring range and on-ball skills. If we refuse to ever play without a traditional 5 we might need one that can do more offensively. Most of those guys seem to be all-star types or close. I like Mitch a lot but I think the team needs to be able to take him off the court and times and play a lineup that does something very different. So long as you have a counter I think Mitch is great.

Love Mitch. Embiid and Thibs are kind of a made for each other though. Look what Thibs did with Noah (who also had a similar eccentric personality). Embiid is twice the talent. Brunson is also the leader and playoff performer that Embiid has been craving for. Granted he had Jimmy that one yr, but they choose Tobais over him.
Embiid transferring from Philly to Knicks puts Knicks in a championship window. Competing with Boston who will get screwed cap wise soon, and aging Milwaukee who will also be screwed cap wise soon in the East. Mia should drop given they lost multiple key role players, unless they add Dame.
Embiid/Brunson at 26/29 prove a 5 year championship contention window. With strong glue pieces already installed with Hart & DDV.

Some good thoughts for sure, I like the above lineup. Some tough trades but maybe the Knicks have enough to pull it off if guys come out of the gate fully charged.
Regarding the bold... I think Randle would be OK in terms of usage (no idea in terms of fit and other things though). I've always thought that Randle is the type of guy who you can lean on during the regular season. Like for quarters 1-3 and then activate Embiib and Brunson as your closers.
Randle is a work horse beast for regular season and this would preserve someone like Embiib and then Brunson in the long run. Those guys know how to sacrifice their games (Embiid, Brunson). Just a matter of working it out.
Embiid really wanted MVP last year and perhaps wore himself down.
To lead us to the promised land he will need some load management and acceptance regarding usage.
We really have an indelible notion about Randle. One bad series vs. ATL were Nate Mcmillon had a great schematic to contain him and we paint him a playoff loser.
Last season he should not have played.
But, lets move on.
I think Joel can play with Jules but both have to relinquish a bit. Toby Harris has done this in Philly and perhaps sacrificed his numbers. Jules might have to also.
Are we better with RJ or Jules? Thats on Leon and coaches to figure that out.
