Vivek will take the same route with every other topic that would need to come up as someone who hold public office and he would fail spectacularly for everyone else but himself and those few around him who are already in on the grift

Bro you were not just wrong but also you failed at the simple task of using google effectively for like 2 seconds. Even though you tried multiple times.

You don’t even pay attention to what you are reading when you take the time to actually do that.

Do better man. Like by a lot.

I admitted to both. But thank you for kindly rubbing it in my face afterwards. Classy

ramtour, I don’t fuck around in this space. This shit has real world consequences and there are people out there spewing disinformation - whether by accident, on purpose, or for lack of trying - and you did just that.

If it takes you more than a couple back and forths and then additional tries with Google and you still can’t come up with simple stuff, you gotta start worrying about something else and start trying a different way.

fwiw, Martin is offering you some solid advice.

In general, it's better to put in the effort to be well-informed and avoid coming across (with anyone and in any forum) like a posturing opinion-slinger. A key facet of that would be open mindedness and a willingness to embrace information outside the boundaries of your preconceptions.

+1 to what Martin said...you ought to take what you can from it because it WILL help you more broadly than at UK.

You are absolutely right. I did assume that what I heard from the media was a fact. One should always check info for accuracy and I learned that lesson. I actually really like to get to the bottom of things. I didn't realize I sound like a posturing opinion -slinger. I guess I have some growing up to do as an adult

This is where I got my Biden misinformation from by the way

You get your news from a YouTube channel called HiRezTV run by this guy. He has a very appropriate Barbie flare to him. I would be a teensy hesitant with what he has to say but that’s just me. It’s not the pink hoodie so much so the glasses and beard and “hey, how *you* doin’?” sideway glance. Maybe, just maybe, not entirely passable news worthy.

We need to start a different type of conversation. And it starts with you.

Ok. Let's start a different conversation. Insulin is free for all diabetics in Russia, we have government sponsored healthcare. It doesn't matter how old you are, what age group or what pre-existing conditions one has. All.Healthcare.Is.Free.( except dental)

You may want to think about what the true cost of that medicine is.
We also have a place for you here. Where three meals a day are free. Free warm bed. Free heat, water and electric. High high security. Free arts and crafts. Free educational courses. Free mental support groups. And yes, free medical assistance and care. Only problem is that most of your freedoms will be stripped and everyone around you has little knowledge of the outside world. But that does not seem to be important to you.

Ohh, I see what you did there. I have lived in the US for 19 years. Graduated from High School. Got my first job. Got married. Graduated from college. Had a baby. Lived most of my adult life in Woodhaven, Queens. You want to talk freedom? Not the pretty word freedom, but rather actual one? I have type one diabetes. When I was in college and prior to that I was getting free healthcare as a low income person. Once I graduated and started working as an RN my health insurance became paid and my quote was close to 2000$ per month because of the preexisting condition. I had no choice but to exercise my freedom not to get healthcare and pay out of pocket for doctor visits just so that he would prescribe insulin and then I had to buy it out of pocket...Hmm, you still want to talk about the cost of healthcare? Not some metaphorical cost, but actual $ cost that I had to take from my family budget?
I also was able to build a house here without getting a penny in debt. That freedom would not have been mine in the US. No one will tell me or my family that I have no choice but to take an experimental vaccine over here. You see where I am getting at? Which one of us lives in a country that resembles the condition you described? The answer might be different from what you think.

$2000 per month with prexisting condition buying into a corp system sounds a bit much.
Your tone has familiar ring as many Russians get paid to participate on social media inflicting propaganda to the gullible.

Listening to trump fawn over putin and attempt to break up NATO and now the Swarmey dude broadcast his intentions about Ukraine its troll time again for Russians to help GOP who will help them.

Great and beautiful countries. But once you have lived here and grown accustomed to what the US offers and it's culture, those countries fall short for me. Of course that is my personal opinion based on my experiences.

Where have you lived?

I have 0 faith in the GOP to do anything about US support of Ukraine. Too much money has been invested by the heavyweights like Blackrock, Monsanto and Dupont. You know that the aid Ukraine has received is going to get paid back with ownership of Ukrainian land? It's those said companies that are going to benefit. Once Ukraine loses they will get nothing. There are always strings attached.
Wars are about money. Putins failing economic policies over 20 years and the corrupt privatization of former soviet entities was beyond criminal.
Living in Russia perhaps one cannot freely discuss politics in critical terms.
So to promote the system as you are gives me doubts to the true nature of your intent.

Conspiracy of big corp? I don't even know where to begin with that one. We are all grown ups. This stuff is easily looked up. This is not Russiagate we are talking about, it's all out in the open.

I was a full time employee on payroll if that answers your question. George Soros stuff I don't care much for as that actually has a conspiracy scent all over it. My argument was that GOP cannot change the course of action as the lobby is too powerful on the Hill. It's not just some " strings attached".

Russian failed economic past was as criminal to it's future as they come. I am very glad that it's no longer the case. Let's refrain from redirecting our conversation tho.

Now for the last point you made. Anyone in Russia can freely criticize the West. That's what I am doing. Why is it giving you doubts about the true nature of my intent? I don't need to get paid to talk about it here. What does it have to do with not being able to criticize Russian politics in critical terms? Your logic does not make sense.

I need you to read that sentence out loud to yourself and real slowly so it sinks in.

Maybe ask Vmart to join you.

Make it a duet.

Yes, Nalod, getting paid by Russian propaganda machine to write on bball forum is clearly the likely explanation for my words. Well done Sherlock.

No GOP is going to stop those corporations from protecting their " investments"

And yet you tilt to conspiracy of big corp?
Were you and independent contractor as an RN or part of a company?
No sprinkle of "George Soros"?
No doubt when we offer aid to countries we expect they use U.S. domiciled companies in its rebuild.

Please meet Kerri Kupec Urban, Fox News Legal Editor, using as many words as she can to describe what is in her mind is something other than bribery OF A SUPREME COURT JUSTICE. Or as the common citizen knows it, straight fucking illegal bribery. Because who doesn’t just pay for a friend’s grandkids tuition on occasion for no particular reason and having nothing to do with any upcoming business transaction. We all pay for our good friends vacations every couple of years, right?

This shit runs deep in our country. She has worked for Supreme Court justices. She has worked for the White House and the DOJ.

She is a fucking leech on our country who is spreading lies. Here is her background, written by the law school she attended:

https://www.liberty.edu/news/2021/04/23/...

After serving as a communications director and legal counsel for the Alliance Defending Freedom — the largest conservative nonprofit law firm in the United States — and the White House spokesperson for the U.S. Supreme Court Brett Kavanaugh confirmation team, Kupec became the Director of Public Affairs and Counselor to Attorney General William P. Barr for the Department of Justice under President Donald J. Trump in 2018.

There is a vicious and very naked assault that is happening on our country and it is happening via the Republican Party right out in the open. This is the “News” channel that is making half our country’s citizens even dumber than they already are.

If you don’t vote in the presidential election or vote for the Republican Party, this is generally what you are supporting. Maybe you vote for specific topics you like that are espoused by the Republican party, but in reality this is what you are actually voting for in effect.

Maybe research why Ukraine is important to continue building NATO's infrastructure. Ie. Democracy. US investment thus far has been minimal. Compared to the cost of engaging directly in war. With the US and European support, Ukraine has embarrassed big red. That must hurt.

FYI, not a smart claim to say corporations would be able to contribute enough money to make a dent. Unless your narrow thinking has concluded that they have as much funding available as countries like the US and those in Europe.

A Russian and an American meet. Start arguing whose country is more free.
- We have freedom of speech in America, and you don't,- says the American
- What do you mean? Of course we do, - answers the Russian.
- Well, for example, we can freely criticize the government. I can freely stand in front of the White House and shout "I hate Biden", and nothing will happen to me. What about you?
- Well, it is the same, I too can freely stand in the Red Square and shout "I hate Biden".

P.S. The claim that Russia has a good free state healthcare system is a lie. Outside of Moscow and a couple of major cities it is an unmitigated disaster. You are okay if you need basic care or drugs, that will be free, but the moment you need serious treatments or surgeries, and if you do not live in Moscow, things are pretty dire for you.
Yes, there are a lot of decent private clinics, mainly in Moscow, where prices are cheaper than in the US, but still not affordable for most Russians.
And lots of ads on TV and social media pleading for donations to help children get various treatments and surgeries in the United States, Europe or Israel, when such care is not available in Russia.
Not a fan of the US healthcare system either, but mainly because of its cost.

There are some procedures that one needs to travel to a large city to perform, like brain surgery or whatever else. That's true. Not unlike in the US, actually. How about this, the free state healthcare system we have is better than not having any free state healthcare system. Find out how many households went bankrupt in the US last year because of medical expenses( a little over 500,000 every year if I am not failing at Googling again)and get back to me ..

No doubt when we offer aid to countries we expect they use U.S. domiciled companies in its rebuild.

I need you to read that sentence out loud to yourself and real slowly so it sinks in.

Maybe ask Vmart to join you.

Make it a duet.

US ranked 69th. Not good.
Russian Ranked 84th.

Social systems pay higher taxes and while ours is rather low, we pay dearly for our health care.
Mortality rates do matter.

Not saying free healthcare is a bad thing.
As they say; "There is no free lunch"

NY times says Russian casualties in Russo-Ukraine war= 300,000 men.
Moscow times says 30,000.

either number is a travesty for a unnecessary war.

Overview of Russian healthcare:

Every Russian citizen and working resident receives free public health insurance through Russia's Obligatory Medical Insurance (OMI). Of course, free isn't really free. Employers pay about 2% to 3% of salaries into a social tax, part of which is used to fund the healthcare system. As the largest country in the world, Russia also has some of the largest healthcare gaps in the world. Public hospitals in major cities like Moscow and Saint Petersburg offer quality healthcare. However, on the opposite end of the spectrum, an estimated 17,500 towns and villages in Russia have no medical infrastructure at all. These difficult circumstances lead desperate patients to turn to alternative practitioners, including occult and faith healers, who now outnumber doctors.

Despite these gaps in care, it’s not common for Russian’s to have private insurance (or “voluntary” insurance as it’s often known.) Only an estimated 5% of Russians hold private supplemental insurance, though that number is higher in cities like Moscow where the number is closer to 20%. Many Russians earn too small an income to afford supplemental insurance. However, the worlds of private and public healthcare are starting to gradually mix. In Moscow, a chain of medical clinics called Doktor Ryadom (“Doctor Next Door”) is rapidly growing. Half the patients are treated under the public healthcare system and half are treated under a privatized model.

Have you lived in other countries?

Studied and played in Spain and Italy. Have family in Norway.
Great and beautiful countries. But once you have lived here and grown accustomed to what the US offers and it's culture, those countries fall short for me. Of course that is my personal opinion based on my experiences.

Where have you lived?

I have lived in China for 20+ years. A lot of Chinese also love their country and think it's the best. I'm sure that's true for many people around the world. "Suburban" America is awesome- big houses, swimming pools, boating, the list goes on. I have met a couple of people in China in the .1% and they don't live as well as the 1% in America., just because they don't have so many options for spending money. The flip side is all the people nodding off from fentanyl in public or geeking out on tranq. This summer was my first time back in four years and in every city I visited (NYC, St. Louis, Memphis, Syracuse) my friends and family told me about how dangerous the city was.

martin has made some good points about Joe- I always liked him. My opinion is that regardless of record he will look old on the debate stage next to Trump and lose the election.

A lot of smart and patriotic Americans (George Kenyan for example) have warned about how the expansion of NATO could participate war with Russia. I'm not sure why this gets lost in the debate.
