I think the NBA was brilliant to steal an in-season tournament from soccer.. this is the most excited I've ever been for a pre-Christmas Knicks game ever.

The only game I could think of where I was more excited was Michael Jordan's returns. I was really stoked for his Wizards debut, because he was divorced from the Bulls torturing us...

but anyway, I am usually all NFL and NCAAF this time of year, and I am beginning to catch up on NBA, NCAAB, and NHL. The fact that I am up on this (and on the Bucks as a result) and it's not even really all that cold yet is wild to me

Does this game or any others if they win, count in the regular season standings?

Yes, they all would except finals. That game is not counted

That is disappointing, the IST games that were scheduled for all teams, sure, count them. These extra games should not count in the standings, it is an 82-game season, not 83-85 games. Imagine losing a playoff spot or seeding because you had to play the Bucks an extra time, lame.

Prize money on the line.

I’d guess that next year they will make a few adjustments, like getting in or advancing in IST gets you playoff tiebreaker status or something,
