Listen I didn’t like the play style today or the need to keep starters in so late but I do think Thibs is trying to assist Julius/Jalen with some stat padding for all-star game and I Hart was 1 short of 20 boards. Was that his motivation- maybe it never crossed his mind BUT it’s kind of hard for me to go after Thibs for anything because this team plays as hard as any team in the league.

Are there things to bitch about? Sure, but on the whole Thibs has guys prepared (ALWAYS), guys love playing for him, young kids have developed (remember not all youngin’s grow into all-stars) and I do think he gets credit with I-Hart because he basically told him to put the 3-ball away and do the dirty work.

I Hart has been so great.

I was really PO'd to see that BS again. If there was a young coach out there that the FO thought was worth taking a chance on. I'd prefer that to another season with Thibs. Even a deep playoff run. We can do better.

Ever see an NBA team score 9 straight pts in less than a minute? It happens.
Derrick rose as MVP at age 22 and what happend to him was not on Thibs. Thats just hate.
I get that some fans always want more. But for real its delusional at times to think some just because a young coach has no baggage its all gonna be better.
Maybe one should ask Johnny Bryant, a young coach what he thinks? Maybe he does not agree with Thibs.

Rose so upset with Thibs he follows him.
Brunson is 10th in the league in Minutes played. Difference in top 25 players minutes is negligible at best. NBA teams play its best players more than others.

i mean that was literally just 1 year and it was a short sample size of a grand total of 55 players or about 10% of the league.

I'm sure Thibs has made enemies, he's been in the NBA 30 years and there are alot of narratives around him, most that are completely false.

Here's the thing though, I don't think great players have a problem playing for Thibs. You think Butler did? Rose? Noah? You think Brunson and Randle have an issue with him? Donovan Mitchell wanted to and probably still wants to come here.

But you have guys like KAT, Wiggins, CAM... guys who have reputations as being soft and not wanting to put the work in, yea I could totally see guys like that having an issue with Thibs. Because Thibs just wants to win and has dedicated his entire life to basketball. So when those values don't align, yea I'm sure you can find alot of egomaniacs who wouldn't want to play for him. Jordan was always considered a horrible teammate for the same reason.
