It was not a championship ring:

The ring appears to be from his personal sportswear brand, "7UICE," and is white and gold with the "7UICE" logo in the center with a green "7".

This was from CBS sports. Perhaps bad reporting that insinuated it was a chip ring?
Nobody reads content so a headline can lead to that conclusion. I thought perhaps the MVP trophy could be a ring but upon further reading it was a ring lost in a championship celebration.
