Was anyone else occasionally thinking - man wish had Grimes to at least try to run throw out against Maxey for a few minutes.
His quick feet, size and strength would be nice as an option especially given we have neither Bogey/In the trunk

I'll tell you what, I blame that stupid podcast... Man I'm descending further into madness. I've got to stop before I go all Liam Neeson are start looking to pick fights with anyone wearing Philadelphia gear
I just threw out my cream cheese.
I just peed on my pocket copy of the Declaration of Independence. PHUCK BEN FRANKLIN!!!!!

They could used his energy. Doesn't where in the frontcourt. His ability to recover and help would've helped on defense.
Sounds nice until we have 3 guys on the court that Philly doesn’t need to guard
That doesn't sound much different than the scenario we're facing now with the starting lineup. I'm not saying Precious at the four should be a FT thing, but these team definitely could use his strengths. You're telling me Precious can't even get spots minutes at the four?
Exactly - play Precious
I think we need to as well and should be closing with him. Mitch is a bone head (despite good play) and can't very trusted down the stretch, while Hartenstein seems to be too intimidated by Embiid to be useful. Achiwau can't seem to catch a ball cleanly but his mobility will at least tired Embiid out in the 4th. The question is, how and when do we find him minutes to be in the flow if what's going on on the floor. Can't just expect him to be effective in spot duty

About to send you a Gino's Philly just to be a dick, lol.

No we too busy man loving deuce
Lil inconsistent these playoffs
By the way Divo has been pretty bad most of this series. This is why we can't give up the opportunity to get a star . We all love him but he is a role player. Him coming off the bench means out bench is better when we get a star.
fitzfarm wrote:First off why the f I c k did we foul Maxy on a 3 up 6 with 25 sec to go let the guy hit the shot who cares … huge blunder .
Your make it sound like it was a decision.
martin wrote:Man, Mitch is a defensive only player for the most part and he made like 3 mistakes on this one play.End of game, rookie level mental mistakes. I’m still shaking my head
It's not even the piss poor contest but the fact that he also left Embiid, rolling to the rim, to do it. He's played well defensively against Embiid but we cannot have him on the floor down the stretch because he is a mental midget; as evidenced by that play. It was an awful decision that was further compounded upon.
We did not control the game. Its as back and forth. Ebb and flow. They did not fold.
We did not execute. They did.
Then was made uncharacteristic likely fatigue mistakes.

It's part of the reason why I feel we need Mikal Bridges. I love Donte but his inconsistency is par for the course come playoff time. I still love his fit for this team but think all parties would be better served with him coming off the bench, fulfilling the role we intended for Bogdanovic
Disagree, our dude did do it, he had 40 pts. Others fell short, like DDV and Thibs coaching decisions.

I thought Maxey jumped into defender to initiate contact. But Ref did not see nor did anyone calling the game.
The garden was ready to party. Fucking sucks. But Philly is not regular 7th seed. They were only three games behind knicks at seasons end.
No shame in this.
OG was brilliant. Jalen got fatigued and choked. Anyone here really gonna go there? Shit on our game 4 hero?
Our dude did not get it done.

Agree on Mitch and I-Hart comments—- you just have to put him on the floor.
If for nothing else his ENERGY is a great boost and we run with him.

+1. This dude has the world on his shoulders and has been amazing.

Talking about the non Deuce minutes when Maxey is blowing by Donte/Josh

And his D is worse than those stats- he is a courageous player but he looks a bit shook.
Maybe 30 on Thursday in Philly

Jalen iced the game and started OT on a 5-0 run. He didn’t get much help in the scoring department and Maxey out dueled him but he did enough to win 99% of the time. We don’t need to act as if our gameplan didn’t work. All we had to do was not be complete morons in the final 20 seconds to close it out.
You could argue we played better tonight than most of our wins in this series.

Maybe he lights it up next game. He has shot better on the road most of the year. But if he doesn't really have it the hook should come quicker.

Mitch’s D was heroic until the final 20 seconds
