Lets talk about Haliburton. In the playoffs he is shooting 13 shots a game and 8.5 are 3s. The ratio is similarly nad since he came back from injury. This guy is compromised - he doesnt really want to drive or work mid range. Contrast to McConnell who killed us with his penetration. He made a few nice passes, but he played a very passive offensive game. Something to watch.
My favorite Haliburton play from last night.
Also since we are so fixated on our bench being outscored 46-3, should we also talk about how our starters outscored Indy by 118 to 71?
Mitch out for Game 2, so Precious lovers will get their chance to see if he is more effective defensively against Indy. Could very well be the case.

Smart. Give Mitch some rest and get a look at Precious at the 5.

I’m anxious every minute that Mitch is on the floor.
Hopefully Precious can become a contributor.
my gut feeling is Precious is going to play great
Mitch out for the year now … “reevaluated in 6-8 weeks”
Wow a game was one thing, but this is a brutal hit. First Randle couldn't come back and now Bogs+Mitch done for the year. Brutal blow for a shorthanded team
The only area we had some depth though.
Damn. We needed Mitch vs Embiid. Thank you Mitch.
time for some unsung hero to shine for us like the Miami Heat always get.
Is Taj Gibson running out that tunnel? Haha, JK.
Seriously, I can't recall seeing a team be this successful with this amount of personnel losses. It is getting ridiculous. Next man up. No choice but Precious as I doubt Sims will get the call next. If we just had a bucket-getter on the bench other than an on-and-off Deuce. I doubt we win a chip, but if they did, it would be one of the greatest NBA stories ever, Miracle on Ice level. No quit in this team. Let's go Knicks.

Carlisle said “we know we’re not going to get calls here” —- that’s no high road but I don’t care what they say.
Knicks need another +100 favorable whistles to make up for years of bullshit calls against us.
Also F McConnell
IDK I listened to the entire post game. He said he didn't want to talk about the calls or blame the outcome on the refs, said they didn't do enough to win the game, and they went into this not expecting to get calls at MSG. He didn't press on the officiating at all and focused on the game. I took that as "you don't go into a road playoff game expecting calls to go your way".
He did not want to talk about it, but he did. It was cool. sent his message without looking like a whiney coach.
Last year we on Obi's case for his lack of defense.
Now we miss him?
The dunk? Did we win or lose the game last year when he missed the showboat dunk?
Was he sending a message to Thibs with that dunk?
lets go back, NCAA tourney just stopped in 2020. He was was the national player of the year and most workouts stopped pre draft. Players could not travel.
it was a weird draft and not like Obi and knicks were the only team affected by it. Remember draft was two weeks before season started?
Knickes hired Thibs July 30th 2020. he never got to work out Obi. We hired Thibs when the bubble playoffs were going on in Orlando.
Obi was not the right player for knicks to draft. Shit happens. It was never a proper fit.
Randle had yet to play for Thibs. And it was his first Allstar season. Nobody knew this when Obi was drafted. I can't tell you what knicks were thinking but lets assume it was that OBI would challenge Randle at some point.
Contexts fellas. In time Thibs was on the hot seat and his method was not validated yet.
The process is Thibs and staff go the players that match the style this coach wants to play.
Gone is Obi, Frank, Trier, IQ, and RJ. They are good NBA talents but not for this coach to fully succeed.
I don't think the FO had total confidence this would happen but at some point they went all in and gave the team what was needed.
Without Randle and OG missing 6 weeks we still won 50 games.
We beat a very good Philly team with two bonafide All NBA players and the reigning MVP.
And some of you are whining about Obi? Offended by his dunk? That we lost our All NBA all-star PF and his back up?
Im not saying every thing is perfect in knick land but here we are up 1-0.
I don't know if we have enough to win the series but this blame/hindsight thing is really to make some fans feel better about themselves?
We could have used Obi right now but it's not a big deal. I like and think I prefer Achiuwa over him anyway.
Plus the last thing this years team needed right now was the back office complaining about Obi's role and minutes heading into free agency.

It's easy to monday morning QB the Obi situation after Randle and Bogs both go out for the season. When guys are healthy there isn't even a role for him here.
The Obi regret when we are one up…sheesh….
I mean Obi is an NBA rotation player and a top 10 draft pick and we know in the right circumstances he can score. What he is doing is not surprising to me - Indiana gives him more opportunities. I think where he's improved the most are those corner 3's where he is starting to hit them automatically. He is an example of a guy who "got up" to play his former team and he's from NYC, so even more reason for him to play motivated bball. On top of that he's playing most of his minutes with McConnell who is destroying the Knicks with his penetration so that's leaving him open for cuts or corner 3s.
