He’s not playing against Indiana in this play off series.

Stop! Did we not see what happened to Mitchell? Do we need OG to hurt himself worse?

OG will make the decision. He is a free agent at the end of the year so he's gonna protect himself. If he gets cleared to run he can decide whether he wants to play in an elimination game or not. We don't have any imaging etc., but Dr. Sutterer implied that a sprint strain could mean missing a 2-3 games and being able to play.
I think for us only 2 things to look for - Game 6 requires him being able to run by tommorow most likely, game 7 would require him running by Friday. If he's not running he's not playing.
I'd rather OG doesn't play tbh. If we can't beat these guys shorthanded so be it. There is no point of having him tear something like Durant. This team is not beating Boston either way, OG's hammy is more important than a novelty win vs Indiana. We all know we beat them with him healthy.

Realistically, there is zero possibility of him coming back with this type of injury. Knicks just holding back the white flag but they know the deal.
It ain't happening.

I agree writing is on the wall based on current progression, but keeping Suttersr's most optimistic eval in place here. Till they say its done, will continue to consider it a chance.
Obviously tonight he is out - and tonight is must win. They still need to beat us two games, so my mind is not in "give up" mode. Lots of things can change.
OG doing "light work" on the court
He walked off the court. Obviously med staff and he need to decide but the fact that he walked off suggests it’s feasible

Not all strains/tears are the same. Upper hammy near the hip are the worst. The really bad ones need surgery as they tear off the bone. His was mid and more towards the front. I thought it was a cramp but its rare to cramp up in the thigh. That he limped off was a decent sign. Bad hammy's (I have been there) render the leg useless.
If I had to guess, if he can go they bring him in for game 7?
On paper your at home, we don't really lose when he plays, and He is CAA client!
OG has the type of body that looks a little tight - at least to me (he's a little clunky for such a great athlete).
Hammy's are so fickle - best we can hope for is to stay alive as long as possible where maybe he can get back on court to impact.
I dont know what "light work" is, but it's good to hear about progression. I think there's a decent chance we get him for the ECF if we get there. The question is if we have to play a Game 7 would be he be in a position to give it a go. It seems doubtful, but there's still a fair bit of time between now and then and it would theoretically be about 10 days off. Dr. Sutterrer suggested a 10 day timeline was a fair possibility. Its unknowable for us, but I'll stay optimistic about it as long as we hear about some progression/activity.
Just unfortunate. This will be a recurring reality year after year.
The boys can certainly gut it out and the adjustment Thibs made last night, might actually allow us to win without him and get him 5 extra days, we can even rest him game 1 next series.
Deuce has the legs to play the extra minutes and Boston has been unimpressive.
The Knicks toughness is insane.

Yea I think this is a good sign for next series.

No such thing as a "sprint" strain.
Three categories of strains.....1,2,& 3. Thats it. I don't believe the Knicks ever released what type of strain he has but I think its safe to assume that it MAY just be a mild strain (type 1) since he is doing light workouts.
Everyone heals differently. He may be back if there is a game 7 against the Pacers, but I am of the mindset that he won't return for this series. I wouldn't rule him out if the Knicks advance to the Eastern finals though. Probably be on a minute's restrictions and bring back slowly
