We were done after game two.
We pulled it out, but OG hurt was the straw.
Game three we took it to the limit. Damn near did it.

Today We were cooked in first half when I saw Josh tanking open 3 but it was a fall away. Not good form.
Jalen had no legs. Injury mattered. The aggregate of it all is catching up.
This is why some said "fluke". We kept winning no matter how many of our guys kept wearing down and out.
Im not going to hate on those who spoke on opinion. Its for knicks to prove them wrong. They did it as long as they could.
They earned a lot of respect along the way.

VDesai @ 5/12/2024 7:10 PM
On the brightside - we didnt lose by 2 pts and play everyone 40 mins. Rest up, try to get game 5. Still have home court.
DLeethal @ 5/12/2024 7:24 PM
iHart said he’s fine for game 5 and X-rays were good. Thinks it’s a pinched nerve.

Don’t want to go to game 7, if there is.
nycericanguy @ 5/13/2024 7:49 AM
knicks will come back somewhat rested at least and at MSG.

def a must win tuesday, if we go back to IND down 3-2 our season is likely over.

There starters got rest also.
I know its sacrilege to be thinking dark thoughts like we done......
But that darkness fell the moment OG got hurt. We were fortunate to win that game.
I hope we go to a game 7 because right not it feels really bad. That was not just knicks "tired", that might have been a team that reached the end of its rope.

If so, despite some pundits being right it was a really great run and one to build on. Its mid may and we still here!!!

I watched the game to the very end. If our players have to man up and take it so can this fan. That was a resounding ass whooping and our players all took it in stride.

Naturally after that I don't know how we bounce given our injuries and lack of manpower. We lose Tuesday game 5 at home the 6th in Indy will be tough to stomach if that how it ends. For selfish reasons I'd rather it end in MSG then see those ugly ass Indy fans celebrating under Halliburton clown act.

But.........

If we can take this to game 7 I know we all will squirm with anxiety and it may not end the way we want but at least it ends at home. How fucking cool would is a game 7 win at home be though? Halliburton can't dance and smile. He might even conjure up some humility? I'd like that. Glorious thought.

Knicks need to figure a way to get "Just one victory"!

Im ok with their starters getting rest. We're always gonna be more shorthanded so from my perspective its the only way to "even" the score. Brunson clearly needs time off and so did Hart. I'll take my theory of you'll never get 3 bad games in a row from Brunson. Maybe we can't withstand all the injuries. That would suck, but given what we have seen all year maybe there is still a bit more magic left in this team.

I took that comment more as a plan than anything... and Knicks have completely fucked that up

Knick have to put Nesmith on him so they can get away with 3-4 reach ins every possession

I think we all should get a shirt that says 'I survived the Mothers Day massacre'. This was just brutal. I don't think anyone saw it coming. I certainly didn't. We weren't ready to play. That's on Thibs and the Nova trio as leaders. It's the playoffs!

Now it's a best of 3 with 2 at the Garden. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned. I don't see OGA coming back. He's not the type to rush back from injury and he's entering free agency. I do think we can beat these Hicks without him IF we had Brunson at his best but he's clearly not. Brunson is a wounded animal right now. I have a ton of respect for him for what he's done and how he's not making any excuses. I just hate if this is how it ends this season. Cause if we had Brunson at his 40 ppg best, we'd beat these hicks easily imho even without OGA.

Alpha1971 @ 5/13/2024 10:38 AM
Knicks have me proud ever since JR went down and we had MR and OG out. Playoffs have been a health tragedy. But I think we may have more surprises this series as we win.
VDesai @ 5/13/2024 10:39 AM
Did they ever specify what is Brunson's specific injury, beyond saying foot pain?
VDesai @ 5/13/2024 11:00 AM
ESPN has some crazy data that says Jalen Brunson is jumping 1.44 inches less on his jumpers and has left half his misses short.

I'm in opposite world and we all saw it coming from like miles away as if Destiny was met by men with singles to spare and she started off in a Knicks jersey and looked fiiiiiiinnnneeee!

VDesai @ 5/13/2024 11:14 AM
People are saying Carlisle is a genius by putting Nesmith on Brunson, but lets think about this for a sec...

1) Anunoby went out so it was easy to change coverage as you don't need to play Achiuwa on the perimeter. So Nesmith guards Brunson, but if he guards Brunson game 1 or 2, then you've got Nembhard or Haliburton on either Hart or OG. You probably stick Haliburton on Hart and Hart is a human fast break (as he was).

2) Brunson is literally at 50% - no doubt he would be sitting out these games if it wasn't the playoffs

3) Fucking Nesmith is allowed to hand check and reach in on every possession.

So fine he's a genius for getting fine 35K to get the calls swung in his favor, and for injuring Brunson and Anunoby to allow this to happen.

Right, Carlisle is a genius for not having to play Giannis or Randle or the Knicks without half their starters

Meanwhile he almost lost game 3 and that game shouldn't have even been close.

Oddly specific analogy.

I heard that on the Windhorst program. I thought it was 2.44, but I could be wrong. They said he had like 10 shots hit the front of the rim.
Doris was right when she said how hard he had to work to get shots off.
If his foot is that bad, its why Nesmith is sticky on him and he can't get buy. They are bumping him badly too.
It don't look good.
Maybe the Thibian Magic was going up 2-0?
