in a world were Manu Ginobli did its not crazy. Easy to say it was brilliant after winning 4 chips in 5x to finals!
Dude only made 2 Allstar games and won 6th man of the year once!!!
He is enshrined in the HOF!!!! Played a lot of games, playoff games and was clutch on both sides of the floor.
Mikal can be the man on a shit team but he is should be very valuable cog on a winning machine. I can see him off the bench in that role and perhaps its a niche he might agree to. Question is in this era the money matters and how you spend it does as well.

How would that affect Josh Hart? In the end the final path to a chip might not include all the 'Nova boys.
Kind of strange paying a guy 20plus mil and he a bench player. Mikal is a hell of a player and might be a bit overrated/Hyped coming in but that does not lessen his importance on the court. Jalen demonstrated an unselfish act and is now the captain. Mikal still has two years left on his deal and perhaps they are all in on winning. So if coming off the bench is the path, perhaps he will.
Comparisons to the legacy Reed/Clyde teams are valid given the friendships but if that is to be special a chip or two will be necessary. There is a great story in the making here. Lets hope it plays out with the proper ending!!!
