Rather have Moses Brown over Jacob Toppin tbh. Brown's actually had some nice games in the league with OKC and Cleveland.
Boo Buie was on the team for 2 days?

Signed purposely to get him a few extra $ before the GLeague team gets going. Something like that.
Moses Brown looked like he could contribute last I saw him, but he has to be behind Sims and Big Mermaid at this point

Kolek's a baller.
If he can defend against NBA quality PGs, I'd prefer his old-school PG game over Payne. I think he can do that thing we talk about, but rarely see...make other players on his team better when he's on the court with them.
No Kolek last night. Payne looked good.
Tyler will get a chance.

Im sure he's gonna cook in the G league while Payne's value gets pumped so we can move him somewhere for a couple 2nd rounders. Come on up Kolek.
I will say Kolek looks much more NBA ready than McBride did year 1. In fact he looks a lot like Brunson early in Dallas

Payne would fetch some 2nds to a contending team that will resign him. This if we are not "feeling it".
My patience is thick. Two new starters is not to be taken lightly. There will be injuries. If not, great, but If im the FO and coaching staff I plan for it.
Thus, the last 20 games are most important as to where this team is.
I don't put much weight into preseason. Thibs does not experiment much so its easy to read into things with him. Kolek did not play last night. Interesting to see if that sticks. Sims is the back up and Huk is 3rd string.
I expect Josh to shoot. I was curious if his shot looked any different. He was to work on his form offseason.
Last night felt different for 3/4 until both team seemingly agreed to pull its starters.

There is the 9 as I saw it. Mikal sticks with 2nd unit and Deuce staggers with 1st?
Where is Landry Shamet? Not sure he is in the rotation going forward. Given the way waivers are this time of year, Maybe we go in a different direction and he gets cut?

Jalen McDaniels is getting cut by San Antonio. Kid hasn’t put it together in 4 seasons but he has good positional size and has shown glimpses of what his brother has done.
Would balance that second unit size wise, though at 26, not sure we need a project.

We'd either have to cut Shamet or trade someone to make it work under the cap. I always liked his potential, but he has to start hitting threes.

Kind of begs the question with Kolek looking solid, whether Shamet is a luxury we don't necessarily need. Would they be better off using their one vet min slot on someone like Jalen McDaniels, even if he needs work.
Shamet is kind of my odd man out unless he plays SF. At which point, why not have a SF play SF?

Man, are you typing this into existence? Yeah, McDaniels looks good right now.

Didn’t want Shamet to get hurt. But the words, it’s like they are talking to me…
I think your wing option is on the roster in TJ Warren. Has good size for 3 and can swing to 4. Does what Shamet does which is score. He looked pretty good in the 2 games he played and he was a legit scorer on good efficiency before the injuries.
sucks Landry got hurt. Free agent coming in playing for his career and was doing well.
Hope its minor and he gets another chance.
One door closes another open. So goes the tough career of a pro athlete! Tough business!!!
I love this guy already, so smooth with the answers.
