WTF? I don't like this for Clippers. Powell to me is >>> than soft John Collins. Also Miami gives up two older guys that weren't really playing and gets gifted a really good player who from a scoring standpoint wasn't far off Butler last year, but actually shoots the 3.

Definitely will not miss Kevin Love and those annoying outlet passes for layup's!

Miami adds ~$8M picking up Powell but get's best player in deal - Miami is like Lakers in that teams/league can't help but hand them free candy.

Miami will have to deal with giving a 33 year old Powell a new extension next off season -- that could be a tough pill but they get him for this year for basically nothing.

Also think John Collins on a good squad (Clippers) will be a solid add -- he's talented and was just hanging out in Utah.

To me it’s almost overkill or would indicate a possible consolidation trade down the line? Kinda like with signing DDV while having Grimes etc on roster.

Just a few glimpses of him in summer league and he looks extremely impressive.

I know Flagg went 1 and I think Edgecomb looks really good --- San Antoni (Dylan Harper) and more importantly Charlotte with (Knueppel) better hope those 2 kids are legit.

Bailey showing range, quick trigger, back to basket game, passing, beasting on offensive glass and hammering slams on peoples heads.

I get it - it's summer league but the kid looks the part and he looks long / smooth --- my first impression kind of reminded me of Len Bias out of Maryland. Was expecting him to be low energy but he kind of jumps off the screen when the ball touches his hands.

I have always wanted Marcus Smart -- feel like vintage Smart would be perfect next to Brunson to take some ball handling and also the tougher guard match-up. Plus he's another guy (like PJ) that might be able to lift the team from physicality, toughness and locker room perspective. Combined with Mikal/OG - Smart would give us 3 guys that can disrupt and get deflections on D.

My concern -- I'm not sure what to make of him physically. Is there still game left or has his body taken a big step back.

At a minimum you/we could say why not but my only concern is we grab Marcus (his body is shot) and we passed on a more viable (physically able player).

Yes - I'd take him with vet min - hopefully he wants us.

I'd also probably start him or start him and leave Deuce on bench.

End of game we can go bigger or more D.

Have thought he'd be good as well but not clear on how he defends or if he passes the ball.

As we stand our 3/4 wings are basically Mikal/OG/Hart/Pabu/Pacome -- are there enough minutes for Coffey or are we better finding either an extra guard who can handle/facilitate (Smart/Payton Jr/Westbrook/Banton) or a longer big (Boucher/Lyles/that can shoot/defend the rim.

Also wonder if K Anderson (slow mo) will get bought out by Jazz. Very versatile defender, ball handler and passer with more offense than Ben Simmons. Anderson is kind of guy you can play next to Kat and he can take ball out of Brunson's hands in some sets.

Another thing to consider is that there were/are significant rumors that Knicks clubhouse was a mess last year. Did front office believe Thibs was the issue and got rid of just him or does front office view one of our starters as an issue with team chemistry.

So say that OG was causing issues in locker room being frustrated with shot attempts or maybe Kat defense.

Would Knicks offer OG/Mitch to get hands on Lebron for 1-2 years and try to find a Mitch replacement elsewhere (ex. Richards Phx $5M).

If we add 3 solid vet minimums it gives the front office more depth to consider such a trade.

Would I do the above trade - probably not - but it is Lebron and if we had a base of Brunson/Mikal/Lebron/Kat -- that's a pretty good stat with Hart/Clarkson/Yabu/Deuce depth.

Really depends on what management thinks.

Grimes has in no way proven himself, even as a starter. Love the idea of Grimes, but not the performance so far.

Josh has his shooting yips tendencies from distance, but he is a baller at a deep playoff level. Grimes is still trying to find his footing in the league.

You are correct on the sign/trade.

Yes - understand Grimes really hasn't proven anything other than getting hot in 2nd half of lost season in Philly.

That said - would still take his D, some ball handling and potential for spacing over Josh.

Maybe there is an avenue for Josh to change my mind (maybe coming off the bench, lowering his usage and he regains some of his defensive chops). That is highly possible but at the same time he gave me bad vibes last year.

I never watched him in college - interest was super low with Knicks shipping out draft picks past my expiration date but damn I really feel like a bunch of teams going to be kicking themselves for not stealing this kid during his mini drop.

Maybe he will have off court issues but at 1st glance --- very exciting watch.

Not sure if either will play but fun in Summer League - Collier has some dog in him.
