I would never pay to watch an Embiid game. His game is an affront to the wonderful game of basketball.

Couldn't have happened to a most despicable and fickle fanbase and player (Embiid).

Do not trust the process!
Hawks all of a sudden look legit in 6th place in East
- 2 young wing defenders in Risacher and Daniels have boosted team athleticism and commitment to defense
- Daniels could end up 1st team all NBA defender IMO (trying to be 1st player since Alvin Robertson in 90s to avg 3 steals per game)
- Young PF Johnson looks to be blossoming and legit BIG TIME athlete
- B Bogdanovich & D Hunter back healthy playing well along with Capela & Okongwu holding down center position
- Young shot-blocker off bench in Okongwu
Trae playing freely (leading league in assists) and surrounded by young, athletic defenders --- maybe missing some shooting but they look good/tough to me.
Wednesday game should be a battle for the NBA Cup.
Love Daniels - already 8 games of +4 steals
I've been thinking about the Nets after my wife got tix for the fam on Sunday.
1) They have a really impressive young coach. Jordi Fernandez. He's managed to keep an injured, marginally talented roster full of 4-8th men within range of .500. That's craziness. Their roster is not good but they play hard.
2) Nets fans have to be sick to their stomachs that they had Durant, Kyrie, and Harden just a couple of years ago. On the other hand, when they figured out that things weren't going to work out, they dumped them and got good assets back later (other than the Harden for Simmons mistake)
3) they have currently have 4 1st rounders in 2025... plus a whole slew of picks over the next few years.
Daniels for Murray has been such a huge upgrade for them. Ironic bc Murray originally made his rep as a defensive disruptor, but despite the wingspan, that part of his game went away. Now Dyson is monster, looking like a smaller Anunoby in the clips/minutes I've seen him. Jalen Johnson is a smooth player...Risacher needs some time, but in our game I couldn't tell him and Johnson apart.
They are closer stylistically to where they were when they beat us in the playoffs (though Trae shooting efficiency gets worse every year). Trae is really racking up the assists this year. Turnovers and erratic 3 pt shooting are their issues, but they make up for it with their pace - a lot of shot attempts and a strong amount of FT attempts.
so we not so pissed when hawks beat us a recently
Im worried about 3 games vs. raptors this month. They get IQ back? Barnes is back?
THey seem to be improving. Ok, so we take 2 of three!
Looking at the box score they don't have Dick these days? is he injured??

This team is meant to be a contender. Can't see how we should be worried about the Raptors.

Grady just going through a refractory period. He'll get up in no time.
The Pacers are going through it and I don't feel bad for them at all. They like to trash talk the second things go well for them. Karma always comes back on you.
After a run thru the conf. finals last year I can only imagine the distain buy fans on ulitimatePacers.com!
They are missing some key role players but they have chemistry issues with Mathirun?
Court Jester clown Haliburton might have some back issues which is leading to his leg issues and inconsistency.
Perhaps thru adversity Haliburton will stop the clown gig and act like he been successful in a previous life!
I don't like it when Mikal starts clowning either. Im old school and dig Brunson/OG chill act. Kat is animated but never found his thing obnoxious like Haliburton does.
Shit - Orlando been impressing this year (not at the Garden). Kind of rooting for them.

Really sucks for them. Don’t think that Banchero is that close to returning yet. They have a good defense to keep it competitive, but that offense keeps getting hits.

Durant did us the biggest favor ever not coming here. We instead focused on team building the old fashioned way. Thank God we aren’t cool.
Wow tough one for Franz who was really coming into his own as a no.1
