They were up 22 after 3 quarters. Thibs worst nightmare. Minutes police should discuss.

1 2 3 4 T
MIA 40 36 30 8 114
ORL 28 28 28 37 121

There is no need for these strawman arguments. Comebacks are going to happen. All the break time during a game don't come during the 4th quarter. I am pretty sure the starters were in for a good portion of that comeback. The same thing that happened with Randle is happening again. ignore obvious problems while he is with us and finally acknowledge when they finally leave. It's OK to point out some problems with our players and coaches. They are good but no one is perfect.

Clean @ 12/22/2024 11:09 AM

People were making excuses for this man for years if we point out stuff like this. This is sports its OK to point these types of things out to your own players. I have no personal issues with any player. I just say what I see.

OK to point out that keeping track of minutes is also kinda useless?

Maybe these things do matter?

Nice find on this stat.

VDesai @ 12/22/2024 12:41 PM
Brunson saved that stat btw against the Nets earlier this year. The starters almost blew that one.

Leads are rarely safe. I find myself at the end of games looking at the clock and thinking how many points is it possible for the other team to score in X mins and thinking what score do we need to get to in order to win if the other team has an offense outburst.

I don't mind that our guys play a lot - but I do hope the rotation opens up to 9 eventually and we see McBride and Precious get to 25 to 30 to get the OG mins down and the Mikal.

OG was taped up again pretty heavily last night. His 3 pt shot is off. The elbow thing seems like its naggging thing. I have a lot of anxiety about him missing a chunk at the worst time. I think we can survive a few regular season games without Brunson or KAT bc we have shooters - but losing OG defensively is devastating. He holds it together.

martin @ 12/22/2024 12:53 PM
Man, OG and Mikal make a combined $60M, PG makes a cool $50M by himself

VDesai @ 12/22/2024 3:23 PM
Mo Wagner out for the year with a torn ACL. Magic taking the cake for most injury hit team. The anti Sixers as they have the depth/coaching/moxie to have fought through it so far.

Knicks at 18-10, on pace for 53 wins, 6.5 games out of 1st place. No, I don't think we finish more than top three as constructed today. Mitch might add, or another player gets injured. Too many variables. But if a team is succeeding, why freaking complain about players being in maybe 2 more minutes when halifuckingLulah we are winning? Lose and its a losing cause, then yeah, get them out waive someone, and play the Utes. Play for the future. I get that, but getting pissy when we got a lead? Because teams can and do come back, its important a team that builds its lead, hold the lead and not let up.
When the opponent throws in its scrubs and our guys see the fight is gone from their eyes they they hold for the win. Over and over because thats what champs do.
If get there, its because a team knows how to finish their business. That what pros do. Can't blame injury unless the minutes were crazy. Use other teams minutes and perhaps context of current and recent years. Mikal plays a lot, the others I think are NOT much different than last year.
Yes I want more depth and Thibs to use it. But its not good enough now for him to. Either way we don't advance if its not there to use.
One thing to yell Beatlejuice to bring out the minutes police but who on the knicks is bonafide being held back and should be playing and contributing?
Thibs has no confidence in some players yet, well thats good enough for. Me. When the times comes for a player to stand and be counted I believe Thibs has seen plenty not answer the call to know when to put them in rotation. Is a coach wrong? Only when the light goes off and a player breaks thru AFTER he leaves the team.
18-10 and we complain about minutes in blow outs!!! Aint we come far from the Fizzle era!

In comparison, Josh Hart signed for same $80m for 4 years in 2023.

Caruso averaging 6ppg and is shooting 27% from 3. He has averaged 50 games per season before this year.

not even, he opted in to 13m so it was really 5/93m to sign 3/58m extension AND last year is a TO so really 4/71m total guaranteed.

Another great contract. Getting Jhart for a late 1st really started taking this team to the next level.

Sorry. New Orleans wins that dubious award.

EwingsGlass @ 12/23/2024 5:43 PM
If I have a veto for Jordan Clarkson, I’d like to use it. Seeing these posts and they are probably garbage, but dude is the typical high volume low efficiency shooter. Just ask McBride to shoot more. He’ll get less efficient and still be better.

He will get paired with iHart and picks for one of the 50mm or so contracts next year. Giannis would fit perfectly.

Yeah you right, he is the contract to move

Nor a winning player. Sometimes he wants it, then he doesn't, then he does again. Some things cannot be taught

We kill Randle, but then LeBron gets a pass for this crap.

The Lakers’ road loss to the Pistons in November served as a cautionary tale of how wrong things could go.

On Monday, Los Angeles had its much-anticipated rematch.

And many of the same problems persisted.
