I'm LOVING the drama in Miami! About damn time that franchise went through something like this! But Pat the Rat looks really bad here suspending Butler for 7 games. Seems way too extreme. And considering what Butler has done for them taking them to the Finals. That team would been have a lotto team every year without him. Riley looks very ungrateful and self centered, which is not surprising. He's done this before with Shaq and LeBum. And I doubt they will get an even trade for a 35 year old declining Butler too. I just hope it's the start of their demise and decline. That franchise needs to go away for a loooong time!

Butler took that contract and by doing so accepted he is the franchise. not sure what's up with Bam but Butler wants them to cash it in and get a "Star", well he should be that star! He making 48mil t his year, 52 next if he opts in. Grateful? They went to finals and Conf finals in 2023. Is he still that guy?
Likely not. He is asking for 100mil over 3 years. Its a fair price, but seems Miami will let him walk if he can't get that elsewhere. Fact is he could just opt in also.

took that roster a few years to get it right if one recalls.
Our ceiling is very high but there is but so much a team can do given cap/aprons so perhaps padding the wins when the schedule was week could be part of the plan.
Pro teams are not oblivious to the issues we are discussing.
