Booker was already under contract for 3 more years AFTER this season. And they just decide to tack on 2 more?

Booker is younger than Durant and Beal and not a sh thead.

I feel like Bridges could do more for us if we can find a way to incorporate him into our ball movement offense of the future

You didn’t like the Thibs offensive game plan of Brunson dribbling for 18 seconds?

Hated it. We did have some games with excellent ball movement and assists, just could not replicate it for some reason

There was zero ball movement in the the Thibs offense which was predictable. Basically it was either ISO-Brunson or ISO-KAT.

“Zero” is kind of a generalization one migth expect from a mainstream media aiming for the most casual fan with short interest. Not someone who claims to have intimate knowledge of players and FO thoughts.
So how are we to take you serious and engage/respect your comments?

The Nalod lame personal attack of the day. Thibs’ offense was a ton of ISO maybe you can describe the intricate offensive ball movement he drew up on a nightly basis clearly it made Elfrid Payton look amazing he’s now got a max contract.

Damn.

Mikal vs. Bane. I'll take Kal. Cole Anthony going to get his moment after Ja is moved.

VDesai @ 6/15/2025 11:38 AM
I like Bane better, but those 4 picks and players is better than what we gave up for Kal

Bane competes hard....Bridges, not so much.

VDesai @ 6/15/2025 11:44 AM
Memphis still has a pretty good roster after the deal and all the picks. Dont know the cap implications, but maybe it helps them keep JJJ
technomaster @ 6/15/2025 11:46 AM
Holy balls… I think Bane has a bit of the thick Brunson vibe, but as a SG. Tough, but short arms make him a bit less of a defensive presence compared to Bridges.

I think when we see Bane settle in as a 15-17ppg scorer, the 5 or so Orlando fans will be pissed. :)

VDesai @ 6/15/2025 11:50 AM
Couple things -

First round picks seem to have less value to contending teams who are trying to stay below the 2nd apron.

Orlando sees the Tatum injury as an open window of opportunity - get ready for other East teams to make a similar move.

THe dumbed down double. Your eloquence speaks louder than my accusations.
Nobody said there was no Iso and it was said knicks were about 10th in iso. IN playoffs they were tops so given your short attention span seeing that with the simpleton touch of “zero” you forget the “Moving and grooving” moments when ball moved well. You can look at stats before making profound statements. To those detailed you look the fool.

My issue is letting the lazy and less informed speak their proclamations of ignorance and move on. In respect to the quantity of good posters here who make such efforts its not easy to do so.

I can’t get if you use elf as tool to bait me or your that fucking inept. That you lack the context to grasp sarcasm it im thinking the latter.

Feels like they should put a moratorium on trades during the NBA playoffs. Feels like more people are interested in this trade and the Knicks coaching search by orders of magnitude over the Finals.

Bane is a better player than Bridges.

Let’s also not forget we gave up Quentin Grimes and 4 first round picks in the deal. Grimes is poised for big things.

That being said we it seems like a lot, Anthony and KC are good players, does Memphis reroute for Durant? They could seemingly move that exact package and seems like a nice swap for Suns.

Grimes was not part of that deal.

MS @ 6/15/2025 2:29 PM
Essentially he was because we moved him for Bogey and Burks and then rerouted in the offseason for Bridges.

So looking at a bad free agency signings like Kemba Walker, Fournier, Noels etc, and having to trade draft capital a year later to get off them or moving Obi for nothing all correlates and has to be taken into account.

VDesai @ 6/15/2025 3:36 PM
Grimes been traded twice since we traded him. He also was playing absolutely horrible ball when we dealt him.

Then we should also include Brunson in the Mikal trade cause he is tied to Kemba, Noel, Burks, Grimes going out?

This is getting complicated.
