Huks Fts are even worse than Mitch.

Nice feed from Paco to Huk for a foul.

Payne looking good tonight. Maybe Brunson expendable?

Who?

Clean @ 10/15/2024 9:31 PM
They better not give mcBride a foul on that. Dudes left arm is doing windmills trying to bait a foul.
Clean @ 10/15/2024 9:32 PM
Pacome playing good D and draws the foul.
VDesai @ 10/15/2024 9:35 PM
Damn just saw Shamets shoulder. Warren might take his spot now
Clean @ 10/15/2024 9:36 PM
Ariel sets great Picks. I wish Mitch would learn from him.

False analogy...gotcha. Put another way, how many bigs we gonna keep and is Robinson necessarily one of them given his inability to create his own offense, his salary, and his fragility? What does Robinson bring that we can't get from the other guys for a fraction of the cost? Don't get me wrong, I like Mitch but--

Clean @ 10/15/2024 9:37 PM
Kolek setting up lobs already.

Ok, Robinson's a better rebounder (serious) and FT shooter (sad).

No, Mitch is still the best offensive rebounder in the NBA and our best Joel defender. We do have people to cover for him since he is injury prone though.

Reasonable response.

Kolek circling around a trip doub
Clean @ 10/15/2024 9:46 PM
Pacome with another good defensive play to cause a turnover.
Clean @ 10/15/2024 9:58 PM
Great game. I wanted this win even if it means nothing.

I'm on the Huk wagon, but it's been 4 preseason games (against bad teams, minus 5 minutes vs. Minny's bench). Sims may not be in the NBA next year. Mitch is an elite defender and rebounder in the NBA. Much of our offense is based on offensive rebounds - which Mitch does better than most.

There's simply no comparison, unless you want to say none of them can hit a FT. We just like to play out-of-sight, out-of-mind. We do it every year.

Mitch is fragile and is on a contract that reflects that. If he averaged 70 games a year, he'd have gotten 100M+ contact. Is he replaceable? Sure, but not by Sims or rookie Huk. That's just disrespectful.

Precious with a monster 20pt and 16rebs. He went 2/3 from 3pt

Cam with 16pt and 8ast. He looked great and brings the fire we need.

Huk looked great and like usual his stats won't show it.

Kolek with 7pt 9ast and 8 reb.

Pacome with an amazing game. 16pts 5rebs

It’s hard to disrespect a player who doesn’t play.

I should know but is this the last year of Robinson's contract? I'd hate to lose him and get nothing in return. Conversely, I'm not enamored of a massive overpay to keep a guy with his well-known shortcomings and injury history. I agree that Huk and Sims (with his dubious NBA future) can make the exponential improvement to even make this a consideration. No intent to disrespect (even if it came off that way).

He is a genuinely good defender, with quick feet & lateral movement, and very good awareness.

The fact that he'll be able to watch Hart, Bridges, and OG, all three being grade A defenders, means he will get even better.

I'll knock on wood, but he looks like he has the ability to be a pretty good starter down the line, and at least a two position defender.
