Brunson gassed lots of shots hitting front of rim. Not getting help from bench.

Knicks lack of depth killer. Only 3 pts from the bench. Need Precious back for physical games like this
VDesai @ 11/4/2024 10:54 PM
Brun just not hitting down the stretch. Tip your cap
Rookie @ 11/4/2024 10:56 PM
Crap
WP76 @ 11/4/2024 10:56 PM
Zero production from Deuce and Brunson missing everything down the stretch decided this one.
BigDaddyG @ 11/4/2024 10:57 PM
0-3 against halfway decent teams. Some work to do.
TheMTL @ 11/4/2024 10:57 PM
I miss our physical team from last year. Knicks got bullied.

Btw, I love Amen Thompson's game. He would be perfect in our system

VDesai @ 11/4/2024 10:59 PM
After the OG block, down 3 that was a big possession and Brunson didn't take a great shot. Needed good execution there. KAT was a mismatch down low and they didnt go to him.
GustavBahler @ 11/4/2024 10:59 PM
How long until we see Huk in the rotation? Hopefully not too long. If Kolek's D was better, he might have gotten more burn with Deuce having a rough night. If Kolek can learn to take charges, it might get him more PT

Miami and Indiana arent halfway decent?

JesseDark @ 11/4/2024 11:01 PM
Did we really only get 3 pts off the bench tonight.Houston is young scrappy team with good length and size,we should have been able to force our will on them if we are championship caliber team.

Miami? They haven't shown it to me. Haliburton and the Pacers have started off slow. This game aside, I think the Rockets scare me more than those two teams

On the bright side, we can say OG is officially out of his slump.

How many times did OG fall down last night?
I noticed one point where he fell down twice in one possession under the basket then again on the other end. Is it me, or do players fall down a lot more than they used to?

Chandler @ 11/5/2024 7:12 AM
Very frustrating. Knicks played very sloppy but still almost won

Refs were even sloppier seemingly swallowing the whistle unless KAT was involved

Houston has a clear identity

LOL, you may be right. OG Looked tired on that play.
KAT goes down a lot and im fearful he gonna get hurt. Jalen we are used to and he is sort of built for it?
Reed Sheppard gonna be a handful in the not so distant future. Rockets under Udoka had a nice defensive presence to them. I was impressed.
Thompson doing the glue thing is cool for a young player.
VanVleet was on and his emotionless manner is awesome.

Knicks took it to the rim and missed more than usual. Kat never got in the rhythm and they dared him to get it in the paint. Seemed having to work too hard for each shot.

Physical game for sure. Knicks seemed to refrain from complaining to refs. They are letting them play and almost like they would start then remember. Brunson initiates much of it and I wonder if his trips to the line will be less this year because of it.

The finger twirl thing is funny. Players calling for it so often its comical. Not so much last night but seems players like run to mid court and its amusing when the coaching ignores it.

Even with Precious coming back, and Ryan just getting signed, I think we need some legit instant offense, who can knock down a 3, or get to the rim. Its a long season, and we want our starters to be as healthy, and as fresh as possible for a playoff run. I put this loss more on our anemic bench more than anything. Hope we make a deal at the first trade deadline, and throw in Sims!

? - he had the highest +/- (+14) on entire team tonight.

By the way - I thought he sucked in his minutes ---- rarely makes an impact play when plays are right in front of him.

VDesai wrote:Man if Towns can stop with the dumb ass fouls he is such a beast

Thought 2 or 3 of those fouls were tick-tac or shady particularly with lumbering Sengun flailing all over the place like he was being shot.

Thought Hart rebound late (called foul on Sengun) was also bad.

We took a bunch of contact driving (Jalen and Kat) where nothing was called ---- though those 2 need to stop trying to sell calls and just finish.

Precious will help as you said.
Team did ok eating up the lead with Sims last night. Can't say when Huk gets the call, and it might not be this season but as it stands Sims is still the back up.
If Ryan can give us the quality time off the bench it will be a nice plus for our wings.

Deuce had an off night. Odoka had a nice defense to slow KAT who only took 2 3pt shots. Brooks defended him well on the parimeter and made him work inside. Thibs will have to counter if this is a thing going forward.

Postitive? Kat grabbed 19 boards! "soft" is what many said and "were do we get the rebounds from"? The kid is avg 12.5 in 6 games which thru 6 games is 4th in NBA leaders. Josh with 9 per is 22nd in the league. By contrast, Bam is 25th at 8.5!! At 22nd, with 8.7 is James Harden, LOL!!!!

But, lots of teams have injury issues. Some more than others. Our starting core is healthy for now.
