Agree. He has really stepped it up this year and he was tremendous last season.
Its not blurry - its crystal clear
Knicks still need that one wing off the bench. A lineup with Brunson, McBride and Payne together is in no way sustainable, but sometimes necessary due to the hole at backup wing. If Sims keeps this up, and Achiuwa comes back well, maybe we need the Mitch contract to find that guy.
More fan ponchos should be a clear vision or goal or something
Player visioning, plus lots of picks
50%fg, 40%3pt, 100%ft, against one of the top 3 defensive teams in the league. Defensively, Bridges is starting to look like the player we thought we traded for...he's much better job fighting over screens and applying pressure to the opposing pgs, and by the way, he's leading the league in corner 3's. KAT is more active in the paint, defensively....VISION #iseeu

We literally have a truly elite starting 5. Each guy is showing that they are tops in the league in their role. Brunson the finisher, KAT doing the heavy lifting scoring and rebounding at levels Ewing only touched in his best years. OG/Mikal the defensive sniping wings and Josh Hart.
I ended up watching the TNT guys call the game (Orl) I must have been living in a bizarro world cause Reggie Miller was preaching Knicks and he was making great points. He also called Josh the best glue player in the league. "Anything you need to win the game this guy does. Hit a bit shot, make a pass, grab a rebound, dive on the floor, get a stop... he just does it all" 14ppg, 8rebs, 6assists, 1.5 steals.
Also Thibs putting the ball in his hands more is equally brilliant. He's our worst shooter so rather than letting defenses sag force them to guard him else he goes right to the hole where's scoring at a Wilt Chamberlain %

Im finding the "hate" by ESPN and others coincided with losing. Many times we got knicks on a national broadcast and on the bad end of a not so close game and they gotta call as they see it. It was hateful.
Now, they have reasons to be cheerful.
we fans are bit sensitive to negativity. Understandable but we have sucked and deserved much of it.
This is insane, right?

By far the best offensive team in Knicks history.
Vision coming into focus
haha I am just noticing the in-pic commentary.
Defense is creeping up there. We're starting to see the turnover creation and the roaming OG. Knicks can hit people with a flurry of 4-5 stops in a row and reel off a 10-0 run. Not always sustained, but periods of dominance.
Dallas is an impressive team.
KAT doesn't even have to jump on those 3s. Just a set shot. Sometimes shit just looks too easy for him
Brunson / Payne / Kolek
Bridges / McBride / Shamet
Hart / Jones / Dadiet
OG / Achiuwa / Okeke
KAT / Huk / Sims
Martin and I share this dream of Mitch Beast for Herb Jones. It’s not that I don’t want Mitch. It’s just that the above playoff roster has very few holes. The $2mm of savings between Jones and Robinson gives us the ability to fill that roster (note: Chuma Okeke is putting up some weird stat lines in Westchester, like 8 steals in a game). Averaging 2.5 steals 1.5 blocks.
That second unit probably could be half the teams in the league. Or at least hold them under 100pts per game.
I genuinely believe we are this one trade away from perhaps the best constructed team of all time.
With Missi doing well, NOP doesn’t have to make any moves, but I would throw in Rokas to get this done. Other assets if needed.
And I know Huk is buried under Sims. But I think Huk will win out over time.
I’d go to war with this roster for the next 4 years and believe we can beat any team in the league in a 7 game series.
This franchise is strong. Hope this is a trade that could be managed.
Vision is the 2023 Nuggets. Top 1-3 offense and a top 15 defense capable of putting clamps on in playoff/crunch time.
I can’t believe we got KAT for Randle and DVO. He’s an MVP caliber player. The next best thing to Jokic and closer than he gets credit for.

Swapping Mitch for a legit bench piece is a must for this team IMO. Jericho is elite at guarding the rim and probably better in a spot minute role and Precious is best suited for heavy minutes off the bench both replacing KAT and playing next to him.
KAT has shown he’s elite 1:1 guarding guys like Jokic and Embiid. Mitch isn’t really needed for that anymore. Need a big wing off the bench to round this team into full contender status.
I dont see a willingness for the Pelicans to trade Jones, especially if the only motivation is salary. Not convinced they view Mitch as a long term piece.
I do agree we need wing depth. Theoretically 8 man rotation has Precious, Deuce and Payne. If our Wings stay healthy - we may not have to go 9 man. Right now 9th man can be spot minutes for Sims depending on the size matchup.
However if an injury hits - and with OG its always a worry, a true wing would be great. Theres some ideal world where Charlotte takes Mitch, Sims and 2nds for Josh Green and Nick Richards, but thats probably the same as the Herb Jones dream.

have you any conversations or read anything as to pelicans view on Mitch?
This beyond he from the great state of Louisiana?
What would "Convince" you of their interest beyond a public statement of validation?
As for wing depth, we seem to be top heavy basically starting three. Josh in my book is a 3.
I recall reading the was to work with JJ Reddick this summer but Im assuming JJ got distracted but there is a notable improvement. Given ball movement and a potent offensive he is getting nice looks later in the 24 second cycle and making them.
As for the Herb Jones for Mitch, I suppose that works. What we don't know is the plan for Mitch and how Thibs plans on using him. If had to guess its going to require Mitch getting into shape, getting sharp and perhaps that takes us right to the trade deadline. Given he is signed for another year beyond this I'd think he sticks until this summer. If a team made us an offer we can't refuse, well then anything is possible.
Precious? Most unfortunate he got hurt. HE is a trade asset but his services are needed. We don't have surplus. If he plays well, his value goes up. If not, his is not playing well and on the bench more than not. So his play on the court will dictate a lot, including his future value.
Do I want him here long term? Look at it this way, when we signed iHart and DDV its not like were super excited. These were players that had yet to play in stability. The culture defined them. I'd hope Precious stays there constraints to what he can be paid. We can argue all day long about that but the next 60 games will determine that.
If not him, then I'd suspect others can be signed and integrated well. Cam Payne is doing well here. I see a pattern. Its a good thing!!
