I would call it being a realist. It is just the way I am wired. I don't just look at the result. I look at why the result is the result and how can the information I gather from that apply to other situations in the future. Seeing that we beat all bad or injured teams told me nothing on how we would do on a 4 game streak vs actual good teams.

I know what you mean, but you can only play the team in front of you and at the time of your development. It sucks that we lost to the Celtics and Cavs already, but we weren’t even close to the way we are playing right now and we are still a significant chunk away from our best version both on O and of D. I think the real worry is health, because otherwise this team has great leadership from our franchise player, an amazing #2, a strong starting lineup, a bench that when fully healthy will be impactful and a good coach to drive them.

Yes, they aren’t perfect and the defense is still an issue. But think about that: a Thibs team is elite on offense and still miles away from good defense. What does that say? That this team will be so much better the next time we battle the Celtics.

2. Jalen pushed down to the ground. Can we as fans perhaps think our little Jalen might have embellished it a bit. JB is a strong solid kid who was looking for the contact. Royce did push off but he looked like superman flicking JB the way he flew back. Im not freaking because I consider he was flopping. He is very good at this you know.
Also JB did not freak out as he usually does when "wronged". Refs are calling things differently this season. Or was the ref thinking about his league mandated anti knick stance because of the Rick Brunson investigation?

3. Im glad we beating on the weaker teams and adding some wins! We had a tough starting schedule and at worst the team looks uneven which is not awful. Nothing should be taken for granted in the NBA. Teams get hot, we came out blistering vs PHX. Teams can get cold. Home teams can shoot well.

4. Dallas and Denver will be tough games. Then Charlotte (ill be there). Actually the schedule is really quite good in December. Knicks finish with a back to back in Washington over two days. Baring injury it could be a nice run.

Net rating is exactly what you should be looking at, right? It's not a result and it's looking past just a grouping of last 4 games or bad teams. It's all the teams we have played.

Haven't listened to much of this but these guys are good at the X & O's level.

I am really curious about that myself. JB has been keeping it a secret....he was asked on multiple occasions

Apparently the Royce thing with Jalen goes back to the Dallas/Utah series where Jalen cooked them when Luka was out. Royce has been cheapshotting him going back to those games according to Jalen's sister on Twitter.

I find it fascinating the Jalen Brunson, a high character guy who has revived the franchise in the NBA's biggest market, and plays the game with pure skill has such a hard time getting calls from NBA refs. The only excuses is they can't call a foul on every play...but at this point the league is now hip to the fact that they are allowed to foul him on every play. Its the Nesmith defense that the league allowed after Jalen broke the NBA playoffs.

Brunson is 17th in the league this season. KAT is 20th.
RJ is 10th, Randle is 15th getting to the line.

Jalen was 10th last year with a 6.92 avg per game.
This year he is 6.27 avg. Thus far he is at 6.10 in home games. Not much for home cooking!
