It would be funnier if Rick Brunson was somehow snuck into the Brunson side of things

When your least spacing starter is also a passer/connector, good things happen

I can't remember the last time they had a player who could consistently throw an ally pop. 😱

Chandler @ 11/26/2024 4:32 PM
said it before, will say it again: if josh hits shots consistently he's all star caliber

he has to develop a few spots on the floor where he can reliably hit his shot

Good stuff

OG career high and 40 spot.

Jalen career high in assists.

Mikal needing to find his rhythm. Team coming back after a poor performance the previous game; got to show that your team can bounce back and do so significantly.

New starters and new faces in your lineup that need reps to figure out what to do cause practices are down to nothing. Your defensive guys are about to come back and those things are probably next on the emphasis list.

But otherwise, sit back and figure out the minutes police actions and wonder why cause you've really never been a part of a high level team.

This is an old school mentality that is very disconnected from reality in today’s NBA. Wally said it best a few nights ago, that in today’s “make it rain from 3” NBA, no lead, no matter how big it is, no lead is safe.

Now, if we actually can get our defense to where it was last year, we might move closer to that. I believe this team can get there, but it’s talking longer than expected. But still, no lead is safe.

We ran up a 14 point lead in 2:37 seconds. We covered a 20 point gap in like 4 minutes and then gave it all back in like 6 mins of 4th quarter. The swings are merciless. Russ Westbrook scored like 24 points in the 4th quarter by himself. Play to the buzzer.

I also like Martin's comment. Team needs reps. They are letting Mikal play through this stretch as well. Giving him the most minutes to do it. He is so talented that it makes sense to me.

This is like some ph.d level shit. This is must watch if you really like OG Anunoby or wanna understand why people like OG Anunoby (and btw if you do like him - you have no idea how much more you are gonna like him after watching this).

Mikal is suddenly the 5th option among the starters must be a major adjustment for him. He needs to decide to be the best defender of the starters to contribute and his offense will follow. He can be our prime defender and be efficient on offense. First 17 games have been mediocre for him. He may need fourty games to get it going. But eventually his shot from outside will rebound and his defense will improve when he gains confidence

Good to know for next up

LivingLegend @ 11/26/2024 7:42 PM
If Grimes is out he and Mikal will combine for zero free throws

Mikal just needs to man up defensively and get some arc under that scary ass 3 point shot foul line extended --- league wide very few players look so bad shooting a shot (I just don't get it).

His 1st shot against Nuggets was pull up in lane and looked fine but damn if the longer shots aren't flat as a turd

I still live here in Denver (+22 years) and witnessed so many Knick tank jobs in Denver.

Now past 2 years didn't go to game and we crush them --- I'll take it.

It’s like my win total for MSG in-person games, I’m at least 0-10 or something 🤦‍♂️

Hahaha

OG's looking a lot like Jaylen Brown over these past 9 games.

NYStateOfMind @ 11/26/2024 8:54 PM
He is making Payne look like a traditional form shooter, hehe.

On any given night shit happens either way.
