It doesn't get better then 145 points on 61% shooting 19/36 from three and 45 assists with just 9 turnovers. We will likely never see this type of game ever again. But can we really doubt this offense?Everything was clicking. All the credit to Thibs and his staff. This is an elite championship level offense. Remember when they told us Thibs couldn't coach modern day NBA offense? They also told us Brunson was not a 'real PG' and couldn't pass or run a team. A career high 17 assists from our captain. The two man game between Cap and KAT is developing into an unstoppable duo. Crazy that Brunson has 17 assists, 23 points and KAT ends up with 30 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals and outplays Joker and they are both overshadowed by a teammate.
I'll admit I was against the OG trade. I love RJ and IQ and I did not think OG was this good. Obviously I was way off. He's far FAR exceeded my expectations. He's the best two way player in the entire league and should be an All-Star. 40 points! And he has a scorers bag. His 3 is on point, he can stop and pop, post up and he has that unique ability to get open for dunks. When you defend like he does and scoring like this, that's a Super Star talent. Great trade by Leon! Just fingers crossed he can stay healthy.
Great to have Deuce back. Love that duo off the bench with him and Payne. Sims did a great job in his minutes against Joker. Hart did his thing too.
Not worried about Bridges. I know he's shooting just 30% from three but he's taking good shots and I'm pretty sure he'll hit some hot streaks and end up with his career average of 37%. I'm more critical of his defense.
Have to give kudos to Jamal Crawford. He's been great to listen to along with Breen! Hope the Thibs doubters took note when Crawford mentioned he was the best and most prepared coach he's ever played for. Overall great win!
We've seen this type of game 3 times in the last week!

Not 145 on 45 assists bro. That was a once a lifetime type of game but who the heck knows with this team. They might hit 160 points on 50 assists!
What makes Crawford an interesting color guy is that he's played with half the players in the league and at this point many of the coaches. Having a 20 yr career on multiple teams gives you a lot of insight into the personalities of the league! What's also been fun about having him do color is re-living some of his highlights from his Knicks days. We were pretty awful when he was here, but he occasionally had some monster games and had a nice collection of game winners/go ahead shots. Not the most disciplined player, but certainly one of the most entertaining players to ever play the game.

134 on 37 assists in Washington, 138 on 30 assists in Phoenix, 145 on 45 last night - some would say this is a building trend
The ceiling has been on full display for this team. We just need to fix the floor. Gotta shore up the defense enough to win when we aren't lights out offensively or bad teams will continue to beat us.
KAT is just a pleasure to watch on offense. I never gave this guy enough credit. He might be MVP one of these years during this Knicks run. He's THAT good. As good as Brunson is and has been, he doesn't look like the best player on the court playing with KAT. Which is totally fine. Kobe didn't look like the best player playing with Shaq. Also, KAT's 1:1 defense against elite paint bigs is actually elite. We might not need Mitch as an Embiid stopper with KAT on the team. His defense elsewhere is suspect, but 1:1 vs the bigger Cs in the league he's as good as anyone.
It seems we made a huge effort to get deep in the paint tonight and let the 3s come off that. Many times KAT would screen for Brunson and in my head I was thinking POP and he would roll every time and catch it deep or let Brunson get deep off the screen.
OG has taken the mantle of 3rd option on this team. He's just a nifty and efficient shot maker. Elite at converting down low and his 3 ball has been DDV esque this year.
Mikal is still annoying. It's like he works to get himself off balance before he shoots it. Even when he's wide open on a C&S is seems like he twerks his body to make it a harder shot. Just brick city from this guy right now and team deflating misses during this slump.
I tell you guys, Johnnie Bryant was the shackles that was holding back Thibs
I'm the opposite at MSG, both Rangers & Knicks. I can't recall a loss in 20 years, but that is probably only 12 games. Last was a 5-0 shutout of the Devils, it was glorious.

I still live here in Denver (+22 years) and witnessed so many Knick tank jobs in Denver.
Now past 2 years didn't go to game and we crush them --- I'll take it.
It’s like my win total for MSG in-person games, I’m at least 0-10 or something 🤦♂️
It's called the DripDrop Infusion! That's what they positive with
I loved the OG trade. My only concerns are I thought his new contract was too much and I wish he didn't hit the floor as often as he does. If he keeps playing like this, it might be a bargain contract. Same with KAT, the only concern was his contract, not his talent. I don't find him to be soft, which was another label on him. Hopefully, Mikal figures out his role defensively, and his shot starts to fall. Even his mid-range hasn't been auto the past couple of games. This is the most talented offensive team I've ever seen, with Mikal & OG I expected to be saying that about the defense.
I find Jamal monotone and boring. I wish Clyde had called that historic game.

When I heard it during the game, I thought it was a teammate. If the refs start helping, watch out league, haha.

POST-game Malone, keeping it real.
Nuggets coach Mike Malone, who dropped an F-bomb and pounded the table in his postgame press conference, said his team got embarrassed by the Knicks.
“Nah, f–k that,” Malone said when asked if Denver would “flush” that game and move on. “We’re not flushing. You don’t flush when you get embarrassed, you don’t flush when you gave up 145 points, you don’t flush when you didn’t play hard, when you didn’t play with effort when you didn’t play with physicality. I’m not flushing anything.”

For me, this is what happens when you are more fan-boy and disconnected from the human element of a team and what it takes to get to a high level of play, both individually and within a team environment.
OG career high and 40 spot.
Jalen career high in assists.
Mikal needing to find his rhythm. Team coming back after a poor performance the previous game; got to show that your team can bounce back and do so significantly.
New starters and new faces in your lineup that need reps to figure out what to do cause practices are down to nothing. Your defensive guys are about to come back and those things are probably next on the emphasis list.
But otherwise, sit back and figure out the minutes police actions and wonder why cause you've really never been a part of a high level team.

You and I show up to a game and then worlds collide or some DripDrop implosion happens
