Our best chance to win (this way) + god help us Mikal starts looking like a normal player.
Was watching +40 point game clips from Nets and this shot looks nothing like what we are seeing.
I remember when Trevor Ariza 1st joined Knicks and had brutal release but eventually smoothed it out to become very dangerous shooter.
Mikal somehow has gone the other way in 1 summer.

Couldn't watch game tonight but this makes me VERY HAPPY to hear.
Thought he was going the way of a lost cause but maybe Thibs grinded him extra hard this summer knowing Mitch injured (traded?).

I still live here in Denver (+22 years) and witnessed so many Knick tank jobs in Denver.
Now past 2 years didn't go to game and we crush them --- I'll take it.

Thankfully...this didn't age well, but as I always say, if you're going to be wrong about something, let it be something you want to be wrong about.
I hear you, I move and they start winning, haha. I wasted so much money on those games near the floor, most were blowouts. I also had season tickets 2 years, to watch them get pounded by opponents. I stopped the 3rd year and they draft Melo and were good. Rough 20 years dealing with the Nugs.

Fair point...was getting pissed that we seemed to let him play as if he was there for a Make a Wish Foundation event, but I didn't consider the rest factor.
On a night where the team tied a record with 45 assists, Elfrid Payton had 21 assists. Was it a full moon?

Some may laugh, but feel we should be going through OG and KAT to set up our offense.
OGs and Kats height, wingspan and outside shooting make them a tough matchup.
Was great to see JB get them the ball.
Been pushing for him to realize this is not last years playoff squad and he needs to let others shine for this team to be at its best.
We still have a Bridges problem.

Are you saying in terms of Elfrids, Brunson had -4 Assists?

I actually agree. Mostly.
1) Hart should bring the ball up on fast breaks. His coast to coast potential is heightened by the skill around him and he adds little to the three point threat or as much a threat as OG/Mikal finishing as a lob.
2) Mikal should actually bring the ball up and initiate off an OG screen. This should collapse the Defense or have the paint open for any of our shooters.
3) KAT is first look at 3.
4) Brunson/Kat does their thing if defense gets set. They break it down.
Just saying that Bridges three sucks right now but his midrange game is still elite. Bridges/OG are both mismatches on opposing players due to their length, you basically force the other side to use someone other than a 7 footer to guard Brunson by starting the ball in Bridges with OG as the pop/roll.
This team has so many layers it can use.

Someone probably fucked up the entire DripDrp order the other night, got to be

It’s like my win total for MSG in-person games, I’m at least 0-10 or something 🤦♂️
crazy thing is Brunson hasn't even found his groove yet and Mikal has been awful. And of course we don't even have Mitch or Precious. This team if things click can go on a 10-15 game tear.

ShamPayne missing time along with Loose Deuce, Precious and the Gang. It's not a bad band name.
I listened to Jon Macri post game on the way to work this morning and he made a really nice point about Brunson. Brunson started the 1st Q hot - 5/7 and 12 pts. Made a big 3 to put the Knicks up 12 after 1 and then once the lead was established he shifted gears - really looked to make sure everyone was involved, and KAT got hot in the 2 man game. Brunson is a true leader who keeps working to improve his game, despite already being one of the best players in basketball.
I also would like to note that Brunson kept looking for Mikal and set him up with several open looks (which Mikal mostly bricked - but he did get to splash a 3 before the game was over). Mikal has to shoot himself out of this right now - it will happen. He just needs to watch his tape- everything he does is off balance or rushed. Sometimes he's wide open, just set yourself and take the shot. He needs to take a note from OG Anunoby - that guy is always under control - reads what is in front of him and takes his time when he has the time.
I hope everyone stayed up and watched this one cause this was the greatest offensive performance in Knicks history. It doesn't get better then 145 points on 61% shooting 19/36 from three and 45 assists with just 9 turnovers. We will likely never see this type of game ever again. But can we really doubt this offense?
Everything was clicking. All the credit to Thibs and his staff. This is an elite championship level offense. Remember when they told us Thibs couldn't coach modern day NBA offense? They also told us Brunson was not a 'real PG' and couldn't pass or run a team. A career high 17 assists from our captain. The two man game between Cap and KAT is developing into an unstoppable duo. Crazy that Brunson has 17 assists, 23 points and KAT ends up with 30 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals and outplays Joker and they are both overshadowed by a teammate.
I'll admit I was against the OG trade. I love RJ and IQ and I did not think OG was this good. Obviously I was way off. He's far FAR exceeded my expectations. He's the best two way player in the entire league and should be an All-Star. 40 points! And he has a scorers bag. His 3 is on point, he can stop and pop, post up and he has that unique ability to get open for dunks. When you defend like he does and scoring like this, that's a Super Star talent. Great trade by Leon! Just fingers crossed he can stay healthy.
Great to have Deuce back. Love that duo off the bench with him and Payne. Sims did a great job in his minutes against Joker. Hart did his thing too.
Not worried about Bridges. I know he's shooting just 30% from three but he's taking good shots and I'm pretty sure he'll hit some hot streaks and end up with his career average of 37%. I'm more critical of his defense.
Have to give kudos to Jamal Crawford. He's been great to listen to along with Breen! Hope the Thibs doubters took note when Crawford mentioned he was the best and most prepared coach he's ever played for. Overall great win!

We've seen this type of game 3 times in the last week!
