He did. He played Shamet 20 minutes.

It's amazing how Magic have guys standing wide open chucking 3s all night with no true offensive players playing tonight.

Meanwhile us with at least Brunson/Mikal -- we have a guy like Shamet who we simply can't create an open look for. Guys cling to Shamet like he is Steph Curry off ball. The kid is flying all over trying to get open and can't while other teams 3 point shooters are wide open and testing the breeze with their finger before draining 3.

Absolutely DEAD LEGS - see it on both ends and we looked exactly the same as in Chicago.

This goes to my other problem with Thibs. His defense is designed to over protect the paint and scramble at shooters. This is what we signed up for. We just have to hope teams miss open shots.

Wonder what Leon is thinking.

I get Thibs wants to win, every game, every minute, and he will drive the horses into the ground. But that is not smart. 82 games and if we end up with OG or Kay ending the season on the DL, it will be a failed season.

Even if we had a bench that Thibs could trust- his problem, not the bench- we’re not winning a chip. We’re good, but not championship good, and that is ok.

Sims is as incompetent on offense as Mitch - when you add up the combined skills of our 4 non-Kat bigs (Mitch/Sims/Precsious/Huck) you basically get nothing.

I noticed Thibs plays some of our guys a lot of minutes. Anybody else notice this?

He plays a mean game of hot potato.

If we traded for Cole Anthony he would shoot 25% and Thibs would bury him behind trainer on bench.
Clean @ 1/6/2025 10:18 PM

A good reporter would have asked him why he thinks they played a low-energy game.

I'm going to NY Giant site so I can remain optimistic.

I think they have in the past, and got tired of his gaslighting answers.

Someone did ask. His answers makes it seem like the minutes will not bne reduced. Just get more rest at home.

I wonder if Brunson admitting they are fatigued will finally sway the deniers.
Nalod @ 1/6/2025 11:21 PM
HI, My name is Nalod.
Im a minute denier. I have always been one.
I pretend Thibs knows better but he does not show it.
I want to think that players who are not playing would be better than the players playing even though they really good.
We won 9 in a row. Then lost three.
If I Put out tweets I'd say "Last 12 games knicks are 9-3".
This is why I don't talk shit about other teams. Knicks are not immune to problems. No team is.
Hey, we had christmas!

Expecting them to openly admit it’s a problem is the same as waiting for Thibs to quickly change his rotation patterns. It just won’t happen. It will just get ugly until it isn’t, then it will be anytime we play an elite team. This team has been pretty consistent, all things considered:

Offensively gifted when KAT is out there, but defensively challenged most of the nights except for some specific moments. Gifted enough to get many wins against mediocre talent, not good enough to beat the elite. And with many nights of lack of effort so that they can lose against anyone. Rinse and repeat. This team isn’t a true contender. There are too many red flags that haven’t changed so far: the defense has disappeared compared to last season, the bench is nonexistent and hardly used, having quarters or halves where all just falls apart with no apparent adjustment in sight, the effort is random and their postgame responses are getting tiresome when on the next game they fix nothing of what they say they should.

This team is a beautiful mess. We’ll win enough to make the playoffs somehow and maybe get a series win out of it if we get a good matchup, but it’s hard to see this team changing those red flags that have persisted for the whole season and actually become a contender. Feast or famine isn’t gonna cut it.

He did not look fatigued holding on to the ball and doing all that dribbling!

Halftime on Friday, around 10PM est - we're all thinking, wow the Knicks can win the championship.

Tuesday morning - will the Knicks ever win another game?
