But the blowouts are disappointing, though keep in mind, we aren't as deep with talent and are playing a game right after a hard OT game. We got the one we needed to get, barely.
3pt D and and a top heavy roster is keeping us from tier 1. Mitch might help rejuvenate the 2nd unit. Might make us a tier 2 sleeper.
Dadiet getting burn, but Ty Jerome keeps burning us
Down 39 for our largest deficit of the season--so far.
At least the bench is in.

So we lose by 50--not out of the question. This is so disheartening.

We got dishartensteined by OKC. Fuck OKC.

3pt D was as bad as always. That can result in an early exit from the playoffs.
No Hart, he's the heart and soul of this squad, Mitch has yet to play. OG looked rusty in his first game back. We'll see what happens when we're near or at full strength.

I like your optimism at a time when optimism is pretty hard to come by.

We improve to middle of the pack when it comes to 3pt D, and we become contenders. Thats how bad it is now. Maybe Mitch helps in that dept.
Hard to imagine this team will ever be full strength. But, if they do, I agree, it makes us a strong Tier 2 team. We need more talent depth, an efficient scorer who can catch fire or two of them.

Even their scrubs extended the lead. At least it wasn't by 40.

Lost by 36 and you could easily make a case that it wasn't that close, sigh.
We let them shoot 61 pct from the field and 51 pct from 3

Doing that in a shootaround would be impressive, Sure doesn't say much for our defense,

Cavs are running a motion offense. We are running a PnR ISO. I don’t think we make it past the first motion offense we see in the playoffs. I think Kenny Atkinson is a drastically underappreciated coach. And I think Johnnie Bryant was a tremendous loss. I don’t want to be a hater but I just think that our offense has incredible personnel that are forced to create ont heir own by virtue of the lack of a cohesive system. We have some of the best midrange shooters in the league but are going to struggle with elite motion offenses that prioritize the 3.
Doesn’t help that we are catching Cleveland on the second half of a back to back.
Thus is the truth. Not having an offense that gets us easier scoring opportunities and not being able to defend the 3( why not?) will be Thibs downfall it unless he is able to fix it. Maybe we need an offensive coordinator?

This is exactly why I wanted him as a coach. However, we went with Thibs. Thibs is not bad but he has clear flaws that he just will never fix. Any good shooting team will kick our butt unless they are just off that night. I came to terms with this a long time ago.
Disgraceful loss.
At no point did we show intensity, preparation, execution or toughness.
We will be great once guys learn their defensive assignments and rotations --- oh wait forgot it's no longer preseason.
Second game of a back to back , well next time will be different. I fell asleep before the game and glad ai missed it
