Actually it is Thibs fault because he was out of shape because Thibs wasn’t playing him early to build up
Does suck for him and us- I’ve thought he was one of our best bigs for moving on the defensive end.

So unless I'm mistaken - Huck got injured earlier in game and went to locker room for some time.
Later came back to bench after being looked at by doctors/trainers and we inserted him back into game with a torn meniscus.
WTF???
TLover@ 2/27/2025 3:04 PM
Crazy how the Knicks still have a suspect medical staff dating back to the Antonio McDyess days 🙄
VDesai@ 2/27/2025 3:30 PM
Hurporti has a checkered injury history. Part of the reason we stole him at 58
GustavBahler@ 2/27/2025 3:33 PM
That sucks, feel bad for Huk. He was hungry.
At least we're getting Mitch back. Seems like there is just enough time for Huk to rehab, and get back into game shape by the playoffs.

I did not understand trading Sims.

I mean for one, he's not good at basketball. Like not even a little bit. And we did have Robinson rehabbing, Hukporti establishing he was better than Sims and deserved more PT, Precious being more playable at the 5 and KAT actually playing 40 mins per night. And shedding Sims salary marginally was supposed to get us to TJ faster.

He ruptured his Achilles and missed the full 2022-2023 season

Mitch and KAT are made out of paper mache. Mitch, wet paper mache.
Nalod@ 2/27/2025 5:59 PM
Seeing Kat play far more than any other time and the amount of falling he does going HARD to the rim I am not surprised buy has time missed.
To have been paired with iHart would have been a dream scenario.
Some stuff floating about that Knicks keep picks and assets as it was thought we'd make a move for Embiid prior to last year. Its been talked about here as well. This before He became Knicks public enemy no. 1. Before he got hurt last year he was the front runner for MVP. He was that good. Im not upset with how Leon has built this team. He was prepared to pounce on opportunities.
EwingsGlass@ 2/27/2025 6:16 PM
Aw man. So sorry for Huk. First NBA start and bam… get well big fella!

As someone who has tore his meniscus in both knees, I can tell you that these type of injuries that don’t just happen in one night. Every athlete has micro tears in their meniscus. After over use or persistent excess use those develop into tears that need to be addressed. I am sure Huk had issues prior. Problem becomes more serious when you have multiple meniscus surgeries over several years since they shave off little pieces each time. Eventually, you are left with very little meniscus and would need knee replacement. I am hoping this is a mild cleanup for Huk. Back normal in 4 to 6 weeks.
