I feel like Kolek could very easily become TJ McConnell pt 2

Maybe thats the plan. Clarkson and Deuce share the PG duties off the bench. They will also take most of the shots. Not sure how affective Josh Hart will look next to these guys. Will be interesting.
This is my issue with Hart because I find myself saying the same thing you just said.
In almost every line-up there is a question but how will Josh fit with this group?
He sticks out like a sore thumb in a game that continues to value perimeter shooting and D. Mention D because I don't think he plays it.
So let me try to understand your position. Last season while playing with a shoot first lead guard and no real backup at PG and being one of the best defensive rebounding wings in the NBA and breaking the Knicks single season Triple Double record...... Josh Hart this season while playing with a shoot first lead guard and no true backup PG ... will convert to a no defense completely lost on offense player? Apologies in advance for the use of the R word.....but wondering if this board is going full blown retard?

Maybe. But note that McConnell played 81 games @ 20 mpg as a rookie and beyond. Barring injuries to guys ahead of him, I Don't see that opportunity for Kolek on the Knicks this coming season.

McConnel is fearless and attacks. Kolek seems to lack that. TJ also has a super hot sister.

I think it’s Kolek’s upside. I see enough similarities
TJ in college average 10/4/5.5 across four years in college
Kolek was 11.5/4/6 across four years
And didn’t Thibs get fired for not grabbing a deep rotation? Maybe he gets minutes this year, maybe he doesn’t. All I know is whenever he gets a consistent shot he impresses me

Either everyone is retarded but u or you’re retarded and everybody else is normal. Guess we have to wait and see.
And the R word was definitely a bad choice of words. Doesn’t affect me personally, but can’t speak for the rest.

Aside from Brunson, we don’t have anyone who can bring the ball up and facilitate offense. This was exploited by the Pacers relentless pressure.
Kolek maintains his dribble, can distribute, and shoot. I’d like to see what he looks like with minutes off the bench.

Yeah, probably Dementia was the more accurate description. And not, not everyone on the board, just those high volume posters who crowd the forum up with definitive statements like "Leon fired Thibs because he didn't play the Yootz" or "Hart doesn't play Defense"

Kolek had some moves that last game. His last two games should me something. Would be nice if he could develop into a critical piece off the bench. With clarkson and deuce in front of him, kolek will be buried in the rotation. I’m curious if Mike brown will find time for him. We are very a very deep team and looking to add two more? Will be interesting to see how Mike brown handles this roster.

No reason to rush him or any prospect into the rotation. Kolek as well as any other prospect would simply need to force Brown's hand stacking days. Finishing strong the rest of summer league, then kill it in practice and preseason. Then kill it in practice and G-League. Then if opportunities do arise due to injuries &/or garbage time make the most of them.
Goal for Kolek is to gain enough confidence from Brown & Rose that he can slide right into Clarkson's spot for backup PG next season.

Brown will lean on Hart for the 2nd unit. Brown loves to push the pace and that's what Hart does within his 10 rebounds per game. Since Hart grabs so many rebounds he will have the ball in his hands. Which he will do what he does, either pushing all the way to the rack to attack himself. Or push and attempt to find Deuce and others lined up for 3 etc. As well has the 2 head scratching passes a game. Maybe 1 now since his mins will probably be cut to the 20s instead of 30s now.
Clarkson, Deuce, Hart, Yabu, Towns works fine. Optimal space for Hart to attack off a rebound with effective shooters that opponents have to account for.

yeah I dont get the Josh slander. Mike Brown already knows what the last coach knew. The Knicks are better when Josh plays. I cant wait until Mike Brown plays Josh Hart 37mpg

Sorry, maybe I missed the argument. You guys are saying Josh plays good defense? OK But he doesn't shoot the ball and needs the ball in his hands to play make. My point is Clarkson and Deuce will shoot the ball and run the point, which leaves less touches for Josh, who can also push the ball up the court. Might be a good thing to have 3 guys on the floor, who can push the rock. Will be interesting to see how Josh Hart looks next to these ball hogs. I figured moving Josh to the bench makes him the main playmaker, but JC will share those duties.
What drives me crazy about Josh is he doesn't box out. I don't know how he gets so many rebounds without boxing out. But when you don't box out, your man has an open lane to get offensive rebounds. At 6'4 it's easy for PFs to reach over Josh. But I'm assuming under Mike Brown, Josh will slide back to his normal position at SF.
Last season, the entire teams defense suck (guarding the 3pt line), and players were driving by Josh Hart and others. Hopefully that changes under Mike Brown. Because as soon as I see more open 3s, I'm going to break the TV.

cool highlight real.
reality is, when he's on the floor our offense plays 4 on 5 where the other team always has a help defender playing off Hart

dude shoots lights out right?

Sign him for one year or two, with a player option and he plays great: "Knicks FO fucked up not locking him up".
plays like shit: "Knicks FO fucked up, soneone "I" wanted plays better". Or, Knicks considered 4 guys, 2 played better, "We still fucked up". Some fans always get it right.
