1) because it hard caps you at 2nd apron (true hard cap) 2) just not very good players available when consequence is hard cap at 2nd apron

What are you guys planning to do with Bridges who is extension eligible and going into the last year of his contract?
Besides hard capping you at 2nd apron the tax payer MLE is also a 2 year deal so it messes with 26/27 as well especially when if you have to extend guys like say Mikal.
