Ibisiha’s just bought a part of the White Sox. THeir issues are board governence. Isiah Thomas is not implicated in any wrong doing but reclassified his status as it was incorrect. Its the stench of Isiah that follows him.
True, Knicks don’t have the assets. Bradley Beal is on that roster and its a bad thing for them.
Perhaps simple fact could be Dolan has a long memory and thinks “Durant is not cool”. We are not built to take on a 54mil contract and remain contenders with KD. Giannis might be a different story but even then what remains?

I don't know JJJ's game well enough. But for real?
I would not touch that type of trade at all. Too much going out, by far, for me.
2 players and prime 2nd round picks at worse, for a player where you need to negotiate a new contract for. JJJ is a player that is more injury prone and has played a TON less minutes than OG and is foul prone just like KAT (but obviously for different reasons). He is a great compliment to KAT in theory but wow, 2 players and 2 cost controlled contracts is a lot.
Anyone who watched their last playoff series would agree with you.
Soft. Doesn’t rebound. Goes for every pump fake. And poor decision making when pressured.
Good player and can be elite but think they will ask what will leave us real thin.
Agree, very good defender with accolades to prove it but is often injured and well paid. Perhaps who the other 4 guys on the court are could unlock more? Perhaps Leon talking wilL Jenkins can give him some additional insight if desired.
I don’t like losing depth but I’d do MIkal/mitch for him and KCP. The money does not match but
Lets be honest, any big trade for us would involve things we won’t like.
Personally I think there is another level to our core and its why they moved on from Thibs.

Silly me for doing this but if we can do this perhaps its a thing. Bring JJJ’s pops on the bench.
Maybe not Dadiet but a shooter.
Man I kinda love that lineup

I forgot to put our Bodega loving Kolek in the rotation!
For knicks to get to next level we need someone internally to step up.

JJJ is basically an OG level of defender at a much more critical defensive anchor position, thus more defensive value. He's also a 23ppg scorer and shoots 37.5% from the 3 on higher volume than OG, so he is a better offensive player as well. He also has a DPOY under his belt.
It's like having a higher scoring version of OG at Center. So I don't really see why Memphis would be interested in flipping him for OG, which would lead me to believe we'd have to sweeten the pot quite a bit.
I don't think I would do OG, Mitch, and WAS pick for JJJ but I think that's what it would probably take.
But what about Mikal/Mitch/pick? Im in for that

That’s because it is a mathematical impossibility. Can’t take back 23mm in JJJ and 21mm in KCP for Bridges 23mm salary…

Perfectly understood but there is a bigger subject. one of the reasons the Orlando paid a big price for Bane was the essentially dumped KCP as he did not shoot well. Reasons not known to me. Was it his used and positioning or he messed up now. But KCP was a sort of dump. Does Memphis who is wing heavy want to keep him? not sure trading Josh gets us anywhere nor is JJJ for Bridges an even trade other than money. So "Silly for me for doing" this inferred the money don't match and since I am a pain in the ass to others its fair to call me out for it. I just got lazy.
Dadiet is a stretch no doubt. Maybe Mcullars can get the job done. We don't need stars at every position. We need a shooter. Josh can finish the deal or if he knee is better with less minutes perhaps as we have seen him do the shot falls at a better %.

Given all the above and fact he has really good size - his D must be very shaky

Solid. Great shooter. How do we get him with only the mid level available?
I’m thinking he will get $8 to $10 million offers from other teams.

What do you feel can change to make us better?
Which coach changes that?
Jenkins, Brown?

Honestly Im not really all that equipped to determine who should coach the team nor like spending 5 picks for Mikal then unceremoniously recommend on some frustrations we move him. If he can gain us as said previous a JJJ/KCP (money aside, perhaps there is an avenue) for MIkal/Mitch it could elevate Knicks.
Coaching ability is not static as they often learn and grow over time. As for Brown or Jenkins they are well respected and were the hot dot assistants wunderkinds at one point. Knicks coaching changes might be dramatic despite its accomplished on the margins rather than massive change. So running it back with our core 4 and round out the bench (so easy to type that) and perhaps Thibs or not, the yoot have to step up. We have 4 on the bench. We need two.
We better bring back Shamet! That’s all I want. Oh and get Levert!

We have to hope the CAA connection allows Kennard to be good with the 5.7M MLE.

Yes - that’s an issue - on Knicks film school they were debating if you could get him for the tax MLE. One thought was maybe if his former coach Jenkins were hired here.
It might just be me, but I'm not keen on JJJ. Fails my eye test. Dude moves in slow motion.
