Knicks · Knicks should employ multiple starting lineups throughout the season purposely, why not (page 3)

It’s a long regular season and Mitch and OG both have lengthy injury histories

Knicks need to get either the first or second seed in the East to maintain their advantage in the weak East in the playoffs

I'm not sure we really need to push for home court advantage, not at the expense of fresh legs during playoffs. We won't get it against the west finalist anyway.
They're a good team but barely better at home than away. Since 2022-23, the winning % is 62 at home and 57 away.

Knicks played some small ball tonite and with Josh looked different.
Thus, Brown is still experimenting.

Brown is a mad genius. How many different player combinations have we seen, and all but 1 has been effective. Patrick Ewing back in the building is some good karma. Good time to be a Knicks fan. 20+ years of being purgatory has all been worthless it even if it felt like a daily kick in the balls

Definitely allows us to see on court / off court effects to not have the same 5 guys on the court at all times.

I’m definitely waiting to see Mo Diawara get some run.

I don't think this is something contending teams do very often, if ever. Run your starting 5 and do what you need to do to match or exploit matchups throughout the game. And in the playoffs you can do things like this. But tinkering game to game in the reg season is overkill and not a sign of an elite team.

Let's hope Yabu improves his conditioning and overall play...considering we could have kept Precious for much less money

Im going to guess given he played over the summer its not conditioning but I don't know if his weight fluctuates or he dealing with a nagging injury. His shot looks forced as if he has no lift almost steering his shot. Like Josh looks most of the time.
Yabu did shoot 38% from 3pt last year and I can't speak to the offense Philly ran last year vs. what he is being asked to do, or is he also lost on the defensive end and its messing with his head.

I dont' think Precious was ever really in this mix given his inabilty to shoot. Given our depth issues last year he was servicable at best. Precious is out there having been released by Miami but I'd guess they will find a way to get him back when a spot opens up. They were capped out and he is not the guy you go over it for.

Three games for Yabu and I'd be hard pressed to make any judgements about him or the knicks really. Miami was a bad game and given Spo's teams are so good at defending the passing lanes nots not hard to understand the knicks new offense was tested and they have work to do.

I thought Yabu's activity level was decent but he seems to have caught whatever Josh has had for the past season or whatnot with the shooting, he is allergic and shouldn't be

At least Precious played defense and grabbed rebounds. So far feeling like a downgrade.

Precious played 106 games for us avg 22min.
Yabu 3 games for a total of 41 min.
Prec was basically out of the rotation by last seasons end.
He had some good moments and contributed nice prior.
Yabu? Not a great start for sure.
