Knicks · Better sign Dink (page 1)

Dink is 19 and playing well. Team better sign him to a real deal. If Shamet can't go might have to sign Dink. Or cut Mcculler but Dink is very promising

"Dinkalicious"? I think that's grounds for a ban.

Sign Dink and bring him up. Cut the wing on the two way or McCuller. Dink is the wing on the bench we need to develop. Get him ready for next season. He can replace Pacome as soon as we trade Pacome
TheGame @ 12/6/2025 10:45 AM
Dink looks to have more offensive potential than Pacome or McCullar. I would definitely give him a two-way to see how he develops over the next year but the Knicks are smart. If we see, then they see it. They have watched all the practices and games. If they think he is the real deal, they will keep him in the fold.

Haven’t been paying attention to all the games but the above may have been his first really good game.

Consistently will be his big hurdle. Got a lot of tools

For a 19 yo, I can overlook it. His FT% is 85%, which suggests he can be a good shooter eventually. 600 shots a day over the summer and working on eliminating bad shots should boost his FG% substantially. The real issue as Martin said is consistency and showing steady improvement. Still too early to tell, but given we have limited draft assets, we have to hope at least one of our young guys turns into a solid rotation player.

And can't loose him for nothing. Sign him to a pro deal we don't need all of three players we already have on two ways

Wow Dink is shooting a lot of 3s and my lord is he bad at them

Ya he needs a fuck ton of reps on shots and more. GLeague for another 2 years seems about right

Nalod @ 12/7/2025 9:56 PM
We gonna lose him because of one good game?

The 5 assister per is encouraging. But three turnover per game is a nonstarter for a projected role player. I hope he continues to develop, but I don't think it's with the Knicks.

The Westchester GLeague team super sucks, and I'm not even sure they have a starting PG and maybe 6'8" Dink is doing just that. I really don't know and am guessing. He is 19 still.

Rookie @ 1/8/2026 5:54 PM
We opened a 2 way spot by waiving some dude I didn’t even know was on the roster. I thought it was to lock up Dink but he was also just cleared to enter the NCAA. I’m waiting to see what he does because with NIL money college is definitely an option
Nalod @ 1/9/2026 7:50 AM
My hope is Dink is doing what Yankees did with Derek Jeter back in the day. Let him play thru mistakes and develop?
Creating opportunities perhaps.
BlueKnickers @ 1/9/2026 8:55 AM
If he is coachable he has legit upside.

Two biggest things are he is physically coordinated (aka a natural athlete) and he already has a good handle at 19 (something not every veteran in the NBA has).

Dink is doing just that in the GLeague but I haven't really watched and only pay attention to boxscores.

Anyone been actually watching to see his dev path? I know he got the ball in his hands and shoots a ton. McCullar did the same while with team.

McCullar shot like 20% in Gleague from downtown so it's utterly shocking what he is doing at the NBA level over the past couple of months. Since Xmas, McCullar shooting 42% from 3
