I like D.Brooks and Dyson Daniels but OG at this moment is still better and more valuable. Brooks is a bit of a knucklehead and D.Daniels may surpass OG at some point (but not there yet). Also not sure those two can check Embiid or those bigger players at times. Kawaii was great but doesn't play back to backs as much and is older/more miles. For the next two years I think we will be grateful if we keep OG. After that if there is some decline it may make sense to consider moving him. Fortunately that is our window anyway...

This would honestly be a great move. I would be fine with this as our only maneuver although I still get nervous about our C depth.
I like Ayo but I dont think we have the assets for him and he'd be a rental because he's going to command $20m per next season and we cant afford that.

Sport5 reports that Hapoel Tel Aviv are in negotiations with Guerschon Yabusele over a potential deal.
The forward is described as a high-profile target, with multiple European clubs keeping close tabs on his case. The report frames it as a “big move” Hapoel want to complete in the next few days.
It also notes Panathinaikos AKTOR among the teams linked to the former Real Madrid Baloncesto player.

Matteo Andreani: Hapoel Tel Aviv - Guerschon Yabusele. If the player decides to comeback to EuroLeague, Hapoel is ready to make a big offer. Hapoel offer to Yabusele is 2,5m $ until the end of the seasoN and 5 m $ for next year I'm told.

So this means a buyout? And then Yabu would go to Europe. Seems like a loophole where the Knicks wouldn't need to attach second rounders or take a player back. They could even pay the Israeli team straight $$$ to do this?
And then buyout candidates?
wouldn't a buyout keep his $ on our books though?
It would be pro-rated? So perhaps you could fit in a vet min pro-rated contract too?

I was hope we'd pick him up last year or over the summer. Ayo Dosumu + Jalen Smith would be nice.

true, actually his contract next year is a player options so obviously he'd decline that, more worried about that money next season.

The Memphis Grizzlies are trading star forward Jaren Jackson Jr. to the Utah Jazz as part of a seven-player trade, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.
Memphis will receive Walter Clayton Jr., Kyle Anderson, Taylor Hendricks, Georges Niang and three first-round draft picks, sources told Charania.
The Jazz also acquired Jock Landale and Vince Williams Jr. in the deal, which was completed two days before Thursday's trade deadline.
Jackson, 26, is a two-time All-Star and was the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year in 2022-23. He has three years remaining on a five-year, $205 million deal that also includes a player option for the 2029-30 season.

How many center’s does Utah need. I wonder what years the picks are and if they are Utah’s own
Utah trading 3 picks for JJJ ... are they actually starting to build or what? Seems unlike them.
that 2031 PHO pick could be gold, MEM is getting good assets for their players. 7 firsts for Bane and JJJ
Wow, forgot JJj signed a massive 239M extension. That’s a lot of cheddar.
Utah must feel like they have something worth building around with Keyonte George. Get a prime DPOY big to pair with him. Keep all your own picks, not bad for them.
imagine if Dray green gets traded and then bought out? he'd be a dream get for us. would be amazing if someone like that or KP came here via buyout
would be a travesty if MIN used Randle + DDV to get Giannis... the irony.

Markkanen is still only 28. Decent young core shaping up there
Hopefully Leon does not tarnish this 2018 anchor
So wild
Knicks should be going hog wild to see if they can somehow mortgage that 2032 pick for Divo
JJJ is not a strong rebounder. Good player. Could pair well with Kessler if he is not traded. More of a PF.
Markkenneeenneenn can play SF. If not traded.
Memphis is the new Utah. Stashing picks as currancy to draft or trade. In the age of parity its not a multi year death sentance.
Washington was there in part having to unwind not one, but two awful contracts. Soon they be crawling from the wreckage and return to respectable street themselves.
Vucevic is gonna kill us in the playoffs.

Yeah let’s keep winning and try to get that number one spot. Let Detroit deal with them in the 2nd round.

While I have fond memories about DDV and it's a feel good story reuniting him with the guys....how do we find minutes? Both Deuce and Shamet are better shooters and play better defense.
