SaS and Miami the consistently best run teams in the NBA.

Neither team has won a championship in over a decade.
They should probably try doing the opposite of whatever they’re doing.

You have to grade the Knicks on a curb. This includes the Layden/Isiah years when they were giving absolute bums like Jerome James big contracts, Houston got a $100+ million deal and they traded for contracts like Steve Francis
Scroll down and you can see year to year who paid what and when they won chips. Layden was hired in 1999 and was given some interesting contracts and starphuch instructions back then. Isiah then blew thru it with no conscience! Bad decade no matter whose fault it was.
Intersting GSW did not sniff it until the Curry era took hold. Miami? Even in the brief "Heatles" era they kept it reasonable.

Don't forget the Shaq Heat
By then I was over my Riley hate. Lets not forget Gary Payton finished his career with Miami and won a chip with that team. Shaq took a pay cut for that team and story was Payton emplored Shaq to let Wade take over in the finals and they rallied to beat Dallas after being down.
This was the year SVG got canned mid year. Also on that team was Antoine Walker, Jason "White Chocolate" Williams.
ANd yes, Michael Doleac and Shandon Anderson!

2 plus Billon Profit in a year? 20%. not bad. Mark Walter got health and some business legal issues. Its not like these guys put 10Bil down and buy teams, its usually a syndicate of owners coming together and they borrow money using unappreicated (Not taxed) capital. Not passing judgement if its legal or immoral. It just is. Say they pay 7% for interest. Its still a nice payday for all. But..... It speaks to a bit of instability?
As for the price? Wow! Does not include the building or the Sparks. Thats a big number! Its a quick profit. Its a trophy property.
Context: S&P500 up 20% in 12 months.
Social media doing stupid things. Remember: Crypto Arena is not a public owned project. Can't speak to Walter's and group interest expense. Can't say if Walter and his group have losses to offset the gain. Yes, Billionaires don't pay taxes like regular folk do. But they built it, took the risks, or inherited it. Somebody did. Nobody is putting a gun to anyones head to buy tickets, buy jersey's, buy sponsors products, buy league passes. Public does not own the NBA or its teams. Stadiums/arenas create jobs and tax revenue. People like sports. Concerts. Monster trucks, Disney on Ice.

Shai got them to the mountain top, but if you're an OKC fan, how do you rank Westbrook with your most loved players (not necessarily 'best')? He tops Shai in my book, but results are what they are.
