Hard to believe that OKC had all of Westbrook, Harden and KD on the same team. All league MVPs.
Shai got them to the mountain top, but if you're an OKC fan, how do you rank Westbrook with your most loved players (not necessarily 'best')? He tops Shai in my book, but results are what they are.

Shamet makes less and actually plays defense and has an elite role. Beal does not

In surprised he’s still considered to be worth more than the minimum at this point.

Exactly. I dont know how Beal is still in the NBA above vet min. Like, get Kevin McCullar who will die for you on the court on a non guaranteed contract and he’ll probably be better.

Embiid has had at least 3 miniscus tears in his career. Good satire is not repeating the past.

I will gladly offer my services of twisting the english language into ornate pretzels of logic defying utterances, but what Shams Carnagia just did to the mother tongue is an outrage!!!!

So let me understand this correctly re Peyton Watson and Denver.
I am imagining Dadiet having a major breakout year until Feb (starting 40 games) averaging like 15 ppg, 5 rebounds while shooting 40% from downtown on decent volume and being one of your better defenders but missing the rest of the season and playoffs, and then having an even shittier owner who does a sign and trade to stay under the second apron and getting a 2031 CLE 1st and 2032 MIA 2nd round pick?
Is this kinda close?

I cannot keep up, do the Cavs actually have a PG on their team or they just gonna let Donovan and The Beard dribble the clock out and hoist up shots?
Nalod@ 8/20/2026 10:56 AM
Denver is an interesting team but lets be honest that going over the apron is a muthafucker and teams are not doing it. I think Jokic keeps saying all the right things but is not extending. Likewise, he wil be 32 in Febuary and has two years left on his deal for 124mil. I think the world of him but.....If im Denver FO/owner what does one do and what does Jokic want? The longer he waits the more risk he takes and the price goes up. He is worth it now, but how does he age? Motivation? From what I have read he is pretty well grounded and perhaps money becomes not his primary motivator? Winning? Sure its nice, but he has a ring, MVP's, and wealth. Does he love the game? Sure, but it was not always early in his career. The work to keep that body able and ready to execute that incredible talent gets harder every year. Not saying he has a secret agenda and will ask out or Denver will trade him. But at some point it makes sense to part ways for both if he wants to be paid and win. Makes sense for Denver to not be hamstrung with a 35 year old who could be a shell of his former self and that salary an albatross. I can also see this guy simply retiring in two years happy.

We just won a chip without a trad PG. What they don't have is the guy that does other things. Neither does Philly. Lebron does it all but to what level at his age and will he hold up.
Knicks had OG, Mikal and Josh. All do other things really really well without the ball.
martin@ 8/20/2026 1:03 PM
This is just stupid
