Yeah this is the most logical plan

I forgot about Jaxson Hayes too. Perfectly reasonable backup option.

He gone

Jaxson Hayes signed a two-year, $12 million contract with the Jazz, according to ESPN’s Tim MacMahon

Yup the market for lower end backup centers is taxpayer MLE. Unreal.

aggo @ 7/1/2026 4:33 PM
Go get Luka
TheGame @ 7/1/2026 4:34 PM
Bring back Herb Williams and Kurt Thomas and let’s roll!!

Seriously though, we are in a tough spot but I am sure Leon has a plan.

Luca Vildoza?

Hayes was just picked up by the Jazz.

Funny how the centers are being picked up like it’s the end of the world.

Knicksfan @ 7/1/2026 5:01 PM
Didn’t we have a draft pick center overseas that joined a school in the US? Do we still have his rights or going to school negated that?

I mean, we are kinda in a desperate spot.

Swishfm3 @ 7/1/2026 5:06 PM
I hope the FO was expecting all this and have a plan in place.

Anyone know what this means? I have no idea.

The original tweet, I mean.
aggo @ 7/1/2026 5:10 PM
I would expect 1 of the bigs to be plumlee or biyombo at this point.
TheGame @ 7/1/2026 5:12 PM
We will probably sign someone like Drummond on a vet minimum, find some 2-3 year player from the G league and then trade for a center if needed at the deadline once a few teams are looking to move players. We will not be as strong as last year but we will get by. I trust Leon had a contingency plan.

Looks like James Nnaji is only avging 8 mins per game at Baylor. Not impressing me.

James Nnaji, at Baylor. Meh.
Also have rights to Louis Labeyrie. Not sure his deal but he's 34 yo.
