We just need a guy who can give us 15 min at the 5 . Richards makes a lot of sense .

He does. Been watching alot of videos of him he seems decent. Big, athletic, has offensive game and can make FTs

Someone will shake free. Won’t be as good on D or as on the boards but will be better on offense and FTs

I can see Brown revving up our offense now that we got a taste of the good life during our epic playoff run

Move the ball?

Fk Ya

How about faster?

How about younger bigs that run full court and beat the defenders?

Or every big on the team knows how to Joe Namath an outlet pass?

Speed this sh!t up!!! BLOW TEAMS OFF THE FCKING COURT!!!

You feel me?

Speedball is coming soon to an arena near you and you will like it!

You mean like Hukporti?

SergioNYK @ 7/1/2026 10:42 PM
Sucks we only got the vet minimum to offer so that isn't going to be enough for Nick Richards and might not even be enough for Looney.

No, not like Hukporti, though I'd have been happy for him to return

Like the Palek guy they just invited to Summer League. He may not be speedy of foot, but one thing that guy can do besides shoot the rock is pass. Look at his clips. He can dime like KAT. Huk could rotate the ball or kick it out, but not pass like this dude.

This new guy may be a complete nothing, a zero, a schmuck, but I'm just having fun while everyone is committing hara kiri over losing Mitch and Huk.

just spitballing here that the Knicks literally could speed up their offensive attack by adding guys who are either snipers, pass real well or, lacking those attributes, motor upcourt like Speedy Gonzalez.

They drafted one sniper and invited a big that can shoot and pass. Neither Mitch nor Huk were much in those areas.

I'm being optimistic. We just won the whole thing. I choose to believe the same FO that built a champion has a better plan than any of us do.

It is still possible they move some contracts to offset a more costly free agent signing.

TLover @ 7/2/2026 1:33 AM
Lively from the Mavs has dealt with injuries but can provide defense & shot blocking that we lost in Mitch. McBride & Dadiet could make it happen.
PatCummings @ 7/2/2026 7:46 AM
Maybe Cisse is the answer? If we can get him, we can likely lock him up on a Diawara type contract. Dallas has too many bigs. Not sure if we can sign him without them matching or if we need a sign and trade. But him and one of the vets seems like a decent option at this point.

Supposedly looney is who they are targeting

Philc1 @ 7/2/2026 8:12 AM
Gotta funny feeling we will see lots of Diawara at Center next season.
Knixkik @ 7/2/2026 8:49 AM
Only Looney, Richards and Drummond remain for legit backup centers. Otherwise it’s the trade markets. Maybe the suns will take some of their future second round picks back for Oso Ighodaro ?

That was rebuffed yesterday. Hope it stays like that.

Agree to a large degree but we still need answers for Cavs and Embid. Love the idea of running them off the court but we still need a plan B if that doesn’t work

Someone will shake loose. Diabate. Ware. Missi Cisse. TBD

gradyandrew @ 7/2/2026 11:03 AM
Why hasn't anyone mentioned bringing Sochan back?

Undersized, but ferocious defender and good rebounder.
Great fit culture wise.
He wanted to be here.

Seriously though, we are in a tough spot but I am sure Leon has a plan.

Man prime "crazy eyes" Kurt would be perfect!

Ah yes the early 2000’s mini-Knicks with Kurt Thomas at Center

Because he literally has less offensive game than Mitch. He also can’t move which is wierd.
